      My newspaper subscription is going from $5 to $15. I went online to cancel the subscription and cannot. To cancel, I must call the number. The business isn't compliant with the new click-to-cancel rule.

      Multiple fraudulent charges on my credit card for a "come back to us" subscription that I had cancelled in Sept 2024 for poor customer service and billing fraud. The charges are only $1, but they are every day. I have contacted credit card company to advise. I also called Rapid City Journal subscription services to complain and resolve. Supposedly, a refund is going to be provides, but the charges are continuing.

      We processed a refund for the $1 charges made every day since she signed for the $1/26wks on March 18, 2025 - total $10. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing to be completed.

       

      We've left the account active as she did not state in this complaint whether she wanted to cancel. The agent note from 03/26/25 also does not state whether she called in to cancel.

       

      Billing fraud was not committed; there are notes that she called in and stated that she did not receive a rate increase notice. Please refer to the attached notice dated 6/10/24. The address on the account and where the renewal letter was sent– CO is different than the address in the complaint - SD, if the address needs to be updated, please let us know. Unless changed, renewal letters will continue to be sent to the CO address.

      We’re not sure why ***** called customer service when a BBB Complaint had already been filed about the same issue. The agent cancelled the account with expiration date of 09/17/25, which is the end of her $1/26wk promotional period. There will be no further charges.

       

      Again, we've processed a refund for the $1 charges made every day since she signed up again for the $1/26wks on March 18, 2025 - total $10. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing to be completed.

      We have cancelled the account and processed a refund for the last two payments of $27.99 total $55.98 back to the VISA Card.

      I am paying for an online subscription to the Rapid City Journal newspaper and for the last week the Journal has not been available. I am paying for a service that I am not getting which constitutes fraud. I have tried to contact them by phone and online with absolutely no success. Please help me resolve this situation.       I apologize for the delay in answering complaints received 2/3/25 and after. Lee is currently experiencing system issues which prohibit our customer service team from accessing subscriber data and resolving complaints. We also have limited ability to maintain the daily e-editions. All complaints have been logged and will be answered once our systems are accessible.

      We've extended his expiration date by one a month, his new expiration date is 04/12/25. The customer has been called to assist with his digital subscription. 
      He stated that he has been able to log into the website and read the paper, he just didn't like that pages were filled with information stating that we were hacked.

      I had signed up to run a home for sale ad by print and online. Payment was made to the RC Journal on April 16, 2024. I received and e-mail that the ad would run on April 18. After a search of the classifieds on April 18, I was unable to locate my posting. I tried for several days after this to find the post, reach out to the journal by e-mail, phone, and a physical visit to their office. The phone is never answered and does not allow you to leave a voicemail. I receive e-mail confirmations that my e-mails were sent but never responded to. The physical address is not even the correct address and the doors were locked. I have tried all of the listed phone numbers. To my knowledge, my ad was never published and I never received one response to my inquiries. This is awful business

      The ad did run, 4/20 thru 5/16. We provided *** ****** the e-edition clip, the proof as well as the ad schedule. She was satisfied with this. No refund will be issued since the ad ran.

      Business took money out of my account after I canceled my subscription. I would like my money back

      Mr. ******** called customer service on October 12. The representative attempted to save the subscription, but did not cancel the
      subscription at the time.  The subscription has now been terminated; there will be no further charges.  We will refund $65.97, the three charges of $21.97 that were charged
      that would have been avoided if the subscription had been terminated in October.  Mr. ******** was very appreciative of the conclusion.
