I was a travel nurse in Rapid City SD from late November 2020-February 2021. I was on a 13 week contract where I worked at Monument Health. I found an apartment listed for short rental on a travel nurse facebook page. I rented this apartment through A&A Professional Property management. I received a housing stipend through my nursing contract and paid all of my rent for the 13 weeks that I stayed at this apartment. I returned my keys per the lease and moved out after my contracted 13 week assignment. The property manager **** knew I was only staying for 13 weeks. I then received notice this year that A&A property management had sent a bill to collections for around $800. Upon further investigation the collection agency also did not know what the bill was for. I have spoken with ****** the property manager once trying to resolve this issue. She was supposed to send me an itemized list for the bill they sent to collections, though she never has. I have contacted this property management company several times and never gotten anywhere. No one returns my calls nor emails me a detailed list of charges nor explanation of the bill. No one communicates at all regarding this. ******* *********** has also contacted them regarding the disputed bill and they have also not gotten anywhere. There is no reason I wouldn't have paid rent and I know for a fact I had paid all of my rent. And there should be no additional fee's because nothing was damaged nor were there any issues during my time renting there for that brief 3 months. I need immediate resolution of this issue as it is now affecting my ability to find housing for myself and my toddler son. I will not rest until this issue is resolved. I paid my rent, never had any issues, and moved out based off of my 13 week contract which was stated in the lease. There is no reason a bill I was unaware about should have been sent to collections.
