  I am so disappointed in the looks of this remodel that I am ashamed to have the tile exposed. I will have to have it completely redone as I was told it would raise a red flag during inspecton to sell the home when it comes to that time. With prices going up all of the time, this has become a financial and emotional nightmare. What was supposed to have been a simple and small 4 day, 2 bathroom upgrade has turned into a year long struggle with having to look at the imperfections and shoddy workmanship that Merlin left us with. I would never recommend this company for even a simple job. I was completely stunned by his lack of professionalism and time management as he said it would be a four day job and it went fifteen days with no mention of family obligations when he was hired or we would not have hired him. Now we are left with the financial burden of having another contractor tear out his tilework and redo it completely at our expense.

  Scheduled a two bathroom upgrades. Merlin set his schedule 5 weeks before starting project. Materials were here 2 weeks before start of projects. I was putting 20 square feet of til around shower, replacing vanity, and painting bathroom number one. Twenty square feet of tile around shower and replacing vanity. The night before project was to start he text me and couldn't start the next day, that was Monday. Tuesday morning at 8 AM text me he would be late starting. Showed up at 2 PM , dropped job trailer and left. Tuesday night got text that he was sick and would start Thursday. Worked part days Thursday, Friday, following Monday. Told me he could only work half day Tuesday and couldn't work Wednesday but would finish by Friday. Worked most of day Thursday but said he couldn't work Friday, had to go to son's event? Would finish following Monday. His 4 day job turned into disrupting mg life for 15 days. Workman ship was average. He complained about losing money on this job, left his tools laying all over my garage and bathrooms. Don't know why he didn't use his job trailer for tile cutting and cleaning his mess every day before leaving. The Tuesday he left and said he wouldn't be back until Thursday, he left my main bath trashed and I spent an hour cleaning and removing tools so I could use my bathroom for the next couple days. In the process of moving blankets off f!old I found a large spot of black tile mastic stuck to floor. It only got worse if that's possible. Tried to charge me more money for extra material he forgot to put in original bid. He states on web sight he has 25 years experience, he got his license in early 2022. Very dishonest in every aspect of this job and his ability. Stay away!

  Unfortunately, this project went past both of our expected completion dates. Life happens, as Bob and I discussed. Being a single dad, I have commitments to make, resulting in shorter work days. I communicated these commitments to Bob. Being behind on our timeline, I did not and never will sacrifice time for quality. I did offer to come out on a Saturday to finish, but he declined.
  As far as my honesty in question- He points out my 25 years of experience and having my business license for 2+ years. All true. I never claimed having my business license for 25 years.
  Also, I have a signed contract from Bob, stating the final invoice would reflect an accurate material total. I have the receipts to prove that. He said he wouldn't pay for the extra material, because of his aggravation with the extended timeline.
  This is my first client that I have had issues like this with, it's very unfortunate, I do have plenty of satisfied clients and examples of my workmanship.

  We had our gutters & downspouts replaced. We used Dakota Accuracy (Merlyn) to put in a drain pipe solution to get the water away from our residence. Coordinated well with the gutter installer and buried all the four-inch drain pipes to a safe distance from the residence. Did the work expediently and even better solutions than I thought of. Definitely using Merlyn for additional work. Very skilled and great worker.

  Great service! We added a wall and kitchen and moved the laundry room in order to make a duplex out of our home.
