Our storage unit was broke into back in February. The facility had fake cameras up that did not record. We were not made aware of that. The facility told us they were going to put up cameras and that they would a hire security to come drive through occasionally. Our unit was broke into and robbed again in December. They had security cameras this time. The
Manager was supposed to review the footage and then give it to the police. We waited about a month to hear from our detective. I had called multiple times asking if they had received the footage but couldn't get a response. I called Aaa and she told me she did review the footage, it was dark and hard to see much but they did submit it to the police. The next day we found out she never did submit it and that's what the detectives have been waiting on. The manager of the company is now refusing to answer our calls and will not return any of our messages. We were a customer of theirs for over * years, were never late on a single payment. We can't understand why she's refusing to help us or even speak to us.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I don't feel that AAA storage is actually addressing what my complaint is. We are not asking them now, nor have we ever asked them or expected them to be responsible financially for the break ins of our unit. We are well aware of the contract that we signed. We actually do have a renter's insurance but no amount of money is going to get us back my daughters' handmade paintings, our childhood items and memories, my deceased grandfathers' items, our memories.  Those items cannot be replaced and the people who stole these things from us deserve to be caught. We are upset because we were not supported in our efforts to get the surveillance footage to the police. In fact, we were flat out ignored by the manager once the police let us know that they never got the footage. It took me putting an honest ****** review out there, that she very unprofessionally responded to, to get any kind of acknowledgment from her. I took screenshots of my review and her response before she ended up deleting my review completely. People deserve to know what kind of facility they are renting from.  What good is the $****** you spent on upping security measures when you won't facilitate the police in catching the people who continue to target your facilities?  My complaint with you is due to your complete lack of regard for your customers when they are the victims of a crime that takes place on your property. * ********** **** ******* ****** **** ******** ** *** ****** **** *** *** ***** ********** **** **** ********** ** ******* *** **** ** *****  Never once was there an apology for what happened to us not once, but twice while renting from you. Being robbed is stressful enough on its own. We should have not had to bring it here in order to be heard. The police should have had the footage that night or the next day. You should be 100% supporting your customers, not treating them like they are the problem.

    Sincerely,

    Nicole ****
