      I got my internet turned off last month then called and asked for them to adjust my billing date and was told no then asked to have them take off the time that the stuff been turn off. off my bill and they said no that i have to pay it even if it is running. they are unwilling to help and never call me ahead before they turned it off also they never pull the money on automatic payments like i asked. i get no help they put need hardware in my house then started having problem with wiring but they will not fix it.

      Golden West Telecommunications Cooperative, Inc. (“Golden West”) is responding to the following complaint:

      “i got my internet turned off last month then called and asked for them to adjust my billing date and was told no then asked to have them take off the time that the stuff been turn off. off my bill and they said not hat i have to pay it even if it is running. they are unwilling to help and never call me ahead before the yturned it off also they never pull the money on automatic payments like i asked. i get no help they put need hardware in my house then started having problem with wiring but they will not fix it”

      A review of this account by Golden West’s Director of Member Services confirms that Golden West has a history of working with this consumer, on almost a monthly basis, to resolve late payments, through payment arrangements and discussions about payments to reconnect service from non-pay disconnect status. The consumer requested to discontinue auto-payments in February 2023, which requires them to initiate monthly payments through mail, online, or by calling Golden West’s business office.

      Golden West was unable to verify a discussion with the consumer last month, as they reference in their complaint. A search was done for the daytime phone number listed in the complaint, but there is no record of a call from this number last month. Golden West only bills for days in service. Therefore, the consumer was provided a credit for the days they were out of service. The adjustment appears on their August 2024 statement as a credit for internet service and the router.

      Regarding the consumers statement about wiring issues, Golden West does not have record of any trouble calls related to this service for over a year. Prior to being disconnected for non-payment, the consumer was being served by Fiber-To-The-Home technology.

      The current balance owed on this account is less than $110 and this is for services that have been provided to the consumer. This balance could increase if the consumer does not return the leased router. Golden West declines the consumer’s request for $5000. The consumer is welcome to call Golden West’s business office at ###-###-####, option 3 if they have any further concerns regarding their monthly billing and telecommunications services.
