    We bought an equinox from this dealership, about two weeks ago. We paid $5495 and the paperwork says that we paid $4999. I asked the associate who we first spoke to when we were buying the vehicle why the price on the paperwork and the price we paid was different, she said she didn’t know why. And the mechanic said “who cares, it’s less on your taxes” when purchasing the car, we were not handed any documents, other than the as-is statement. When we signed the as-is document, we were told that there was nothing wrong with it and it was checked at the shop. It has 40 codes, mismatched tires, a battery that’s too small, oil and coolant leaks everywhere. We signed one document (the as-is statement) and nothing else. The mechanic that looked at our car told us that the car is unsafe to drive and we need to “run away from it as fast as possible”. I have three young kids and aren’t financially stable enough to afford to buy a new car or pay for all of the repairs on this one.
    I feel I was lied to by this business and sold an unsafe car just so they could make a quick buck. We were treated very rudely by the associates there (yelled at, laughed at, scoffed at, talked down to, etc). We were very straight-forward and asked if it had a multi-point check and if there were any problems, to which we were told no and it ran great. We had issues from the time we bought the car till now, but we were waiting to get it to our mechanic.
    We were hoping to speak to them about a resolution to fix the problem in some way, but we were met with dishonesty and dismissiveness and they made it seem like it was our fault because we wanted to see our mechanic before we went back to them.
