    A couple months ago I had my daughter in for a spacer to be placed in her mouth, they put it in and it fell out within 12 hours. So we had to return the next day to have the glued in. They then told us if it happened again there would be a 200$ charge. Approx 30 hours later one side fell out again, it was now a holiday weekend so I called the after hours number and my call was not returned for almost 24 hours. I ended up having to call another after hours dentist to get it properly removed so my child could eat that evening. I then went to that other dentist to have a new spacer placed that we have not had any issues with since. A few weeks later I received a bill from sensational smiles for 600$ for the spacer that didn’t ever stay in place, I called them with my complaint on it and they told me they would get back to me which they never did, and now I continue to get bills from them however it is now up to 780$. I don’t feel I should owe them anything and this is a terrible business practice with lack of communication.

    Thank you for bringing the billing to our attention. In order to ensure accurate billing, we needed to work with insurance to determine what portion of the initial treatment could be covered by insurance. The cost of the initial treatment that was replaced is being waived. There is a portion of the bill you are referencing that includes additional unrelated treatment and that portion is still due. We will reach out to you with a detailed explanation by the end of the week. Thank you.
