      Friendly Staff, Few amenities, and poor customer service. Excessive fees. I was charged a $50 yearly fee after I canceled my membership. Before I canceled, I asked if that fee would still apply, I was told it would not be charged and not to worry. A few days later, I noticed the $50 charge, I called and was told that in the disclosure It states that I had to cancel a certain amount of ahead of time to avoid that fee. I am very unimpressed with Planet Fittness Watertown, SD.

      I would rate this zero stars but thats not an option. Im completely disappointed in the professionalism and customer service skills along with the facts that their company policy is not held up and especially when our country is in a time everyone is struggling. I had canceled my gym membership here because i didnt use it and couldnt afford it along with the 1600 in bills a month i already pay. Thinking i could aave 25.00 a month when it was originally only 15 and i still dont know how it became $25. On top of that i started this membership when it was open 24/7 and its barely open until 8 and 9 o clock and only 5 on the weekends. The guy who helped me made it difficult and i was unable to cancel over the phone or online and was told i needed to go and sign a paper so i decided to utilize my last month that was paid for and cancel it and let my daughter use the aquamassage chair. So i shouldnt had been charged for augest. My account was in. The negative today i checked it and it was a gym membership that should of been cancelled. So i had called with questions and they said they just now cancelled it over the phone but what was the point of me signing a cancellation policy when its not honored? It was an active account and i went iut of my way to sign something for nothing leaving me negative 51 in my account on top of the 25 for this membership that someone. Working there didnt do their job and cancel for me.. the customer. 75 dollars i could of went on my day are bill or feeding my children. Instead of reimbursing me the manager was pht on the phone she began to raise her voice and argue with me. This was lace sucks the staff are weird and will look at you disgustingly and im not sure if its because they are snobs or because its im a native american. The gym has always been good to me I recommend that place over this place im going. Back.

      Looking into the situation I found this member has always been charged the correct amount for the Black Card (24.48). We are open until 7pm on weekends and until 10pm during the week. When this member last checked in it was July 9th and they used the tanning facility but never requested cancellation. We had a new employee that cancelled her membership over the phone which breaks our company policy. Our manager is also a male, not a female. Thank you!
