I had furnace issues 10/31/23. I contacted **** **** - Technician ***** ******* arrived 10/31/23 at 12:38 pm CST. ***** diagnosed the issue and quoted me the repair. The quote **** **** came back with was $1467.41. Invoice # ********** I asked to see an itemized quote. ***** said that their system was not capable of that. Due to the situation I had at hand I agreed to the repair. ***** finished up the repair and departed the house at 1:48 pm CST. I was emailed the invoice and as expected it was not itemized. The invoice had one line item explaining the part was replaced for a total of $1467.41, no other details beside that one line item. I was frustrated at what I paid for the repair so I called a local HVAC parts store and found a OEM vent fan inducer motor for $475. The exact motor that **** **** installed in just over 1hr of labor cost $1467.41. After discovering the parts cost I called **** **** and asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to Brad Thomas. I asked to get an itemized invoice because I was concerned about what actually cost so much. I proceeded to ask for an itemized invoice, I was once again told they don't do invoices that way. I ultimately want to see what actually cost so much with this repair. Plus I was told that their initial diagnostics fee of $129 would be waived if I chose for **** **** to perform the repair. How do I know if that actually was waived if I don't have an itemized invoice? I have since reached out to other HVAC companies to get quotes for this repair and they ranged from $500-$750. So **** **** cost twice as much as their competitors. Invoice * *********

Hello ****** our position has not changed from all your previous phone calls in regard to the service we provided you.  We did repair your furnace.  You were given a price up-front that you agreed to and signed your name to and paid for. We have many moving parts behind the scenes that have great expense to them that have to paid for through the services we offer.  We have a building/shop, vehicles and upkeep of them, gas, customer service representatives to answer the phones and dispatch the technicians, wages, benefits, we have a significant staff to make the operation run and provide the services we offer.  We did everything we said we would do.  Do you know that your repair has a one-year guarantee on parts and labor, that has expense.

I cannot speak to what you can purchase a part online for, or who you may have called for a price on the part or who you may have called to get price for the job and how they would know that price over the phone without being at your house to look at the furnace.  They can say anything on the phone, actually doing it is different.

The Expertise and experience it takes to diagnose an issue such as yours in a timely manner, correctly, have the part in the service truck through an extensive stocking program, replace the part, and have everything work properly the first time does not come easy.  It takes many years of technician training and on the job experience and a significant business structure behind it. All of this has an expense.

There's a parable about a nuclear reactor that is going to explode.  The manager of the nuclear reactor calls in a nuclear physicist to come fix the problem.  He goes into the plant and pushes the right button at the right time.  That one button that then corrects the catastrophic meltdown.  The physicist sends an invoice that reads pushing button to save the reactor: $100,000 dollars.  The manager calls him upset about the time it took him and the price.  The Physicist sends a revised invoice that reads, Pushing button to save the reactor: $1.00, Knowing what button to push:  $99,999.

Thank you and have a great day.
**** **** Heating and Air Conditioning.

Tech. 1 (Jared) showed up after a week late with out the sensor I requested then. Said I will just bypass the sensor. Started rewiring my furnace/heat pump/ a/c / air exchanger he was unable to fix it. And messed up the wiring. Tech 2 Ben come back and got the wiring fix to the a/c and it fired up the furnace. Then got it work with out the furnace. Then I got the sensor my self and replaced it. Ben said he would have to come back this fall to fix wiring to the furnace to work. So I called set appointment up and then the Gm Brian called me and said I own money when Ben said there wouldn't charge me. ??? Brain told me they wouldn't come fix it. I gave him that opportunity to look at it for him self. An now he is just ignoring my calls.

Aire Serv heating and air conditioning was called for no A/C on June 16th, he demanded we come that day after hours. On arrival the Heat pump was disassembled by the customer. When we tried to diagnose and give solutions He said he would get the part himself and put it in. Our tech left the unit the way it was on arrival. Customer paid us nothing at this point and was very difficult to work with and never has paid for any service. He ordered the wrong part and he put it in. He then called us mad because it did not work. We sent a tech out and the tech put it together and got it working for free, he paid nothing. The Heat pump worked all summer. The Customer then called in the fall blaming us for his furnace not working. We refused service at this point due to insanity. He also would call and swear at our CSR's from the first phone call. I can send you copies of the service tickets with the narratives and we have the phone calls recorded. We would prefer that he never call us again. He has paid us nothing.
