Comfort Heroes did a poor job installing a furnace/humidifier at the condo above ours. The hose/pipe from the humidifier wasn’t done correctly, leading to water on our ceiling. Another company corrected the problem for my neighbor. CH took over to fix our ceiling. What should have taken a few days took over three weeks. There was a serious lack of communication. I usually had to call them to know when they’d arrive, and then they were often late by hours. Twice when cutting drywall they didn’t hang plastic, causing drywall dust all over our condo. They did agree to pay for a cleaning crew to clean the dust from everywhere. But they didn’t offer cleaning, I had to ask for it.

I too am a victim of their "CHEAP" AC tune-up. I made an appointment during which I asked if this included cleaning the unit, to which I was told "YES". On the day of the appointment the technician arrives checks out the furence first. Tells me it should have its blower cleaned, $450 well that can wait. On to my AC unit which is old so I know they can't check or add Freon. Then he goes to check the capacitor and breaks one of the terminals while removing a wire. States it was old and gets a new and installs. When I asked about cleaning the unit I am told he wasn't going to since this old of a unit has its own "ECO" system and it might freeze up. When we get to the bill its a whooping $400 for the capacitor!! He did this without even talking to me about it and even said he wasn't charging me the normal price he was giving me a break. So in total my bill was $430.
So I ended up cleaning the unit myself and got the numbers off the capacitor, ($65 online not $400) I messaged company with concerns, which was forwarded to HVAC manager Ben. Never heard from anyone even after multiple messages. The owners of this company should be ashamed. NEVER NEVER USE COMFORT HEROES

I am very grateful for this company. Everyone was so kind and friendly. I thank all involved with my AC replacement in this most uncomfortably warm season! Ben, Brad, Darien, Luke, Mike, and Lucus bent over backward to hurry this along. What a wonderful bunch of people to help me out! Their receptionists were so nice and helped whenever they could to locate a technician to call me. Darien installed 2 air conditioners to help cool the house down until the unit was replaced. Luke came over to give me help with a matter at 11PM after having a very long day and still had one more job to attend to. He was still so pleasant, even with the long day! Lucus did a super job of replacing the unit late afternoon and cleaned up everything perfectly! Thank you, Ben, for orchestrating everything! Thank you, Comfort Heroes!

SCAMMERS! We had them come out for a $29 AC check. They said the unit was going out and needed a new capacitor, freon recharge and some other items +$1500 or so. My husband is a retired home inspector and just let the tech ramble on with his BS. Told the guy "no thanks," we will get a second opinion. We had to pay ********* to come out and do a service call, but guess what? NOTHING wrong with our AC. Comfort Heroes should be put out of business.

I had an A/C service check by Comfort Heroes due to a $29.00 promotion. By the time I was done, it cost me $696.22. I did realize that it could cost more if there were issues but I thought replacing a capacitor & doing a chemical wash in less than an hour visit was much too high. I took the bill to Waterbury and asked what their charge would be. Not knowing the capacitor required for my unit, they used their most expensive model in their calculations. The MOST it would have cost me at Waterbury would be $376.53. That's a $319.69 difference! My Comfort Heroes bill would have been even higher if it weren't for a 5% discount for being elderly. Getting a billing statement from Comfort Heroes was no small task either. When the serviceman left, nothing was given me. I called the next day & asked for one to be emailed to me. After six days from their service call, I had to make a personal visit to get my service statement.

Advertised $59 service charge for kitchen plumbing on their website. I had requested a replacement faucet installation. The plumber comes and charged $150 for just the service charge and another $300 for 45 minutes of incomplete work. Incomplete work included a spray nozzle with absolutely no pressure. Additionally the valve that held the water supply to the sprayer popped off and there was water under the sink (occurred after plumber left). A few hours later the same plumber and plumber trainee came back out. Interestingly I told them the water valve was not connected properly and in 2 minutes it got fixed and amazingly my sprayer had full water pressure. Paid $450 (3x the normal cost for this service) and had to clean up their trial and error water mess left from their 2 minute fix under my sink. Absolutely the most unethical business I've ran across yet.

CROOKS! Wish I could give NO STARS! DO NOT RECOMMEND! I build homes and have done plenty of duct cleaning with many other companies in the area. The only reason I called them was because my normal companies were booked. This company charged 3x what I have been charged by other companies. No wonder why they could fit me in. Wish I would have read reviews first!

They came out to my home to do a cleaning and tune up-stated I needed $2600 in repairs done. Provided me an estimate with everything needed. I thought it was high so one week later I had another company come and provide the same service. The company that came advised me that they didn't even clean the heat/flame sensor and showed me and then cleaned it for me. He stated that my furnace looked really good but needed one part that was $75! My total bill with them was $155! He couldn't believe the prices of the supposed items comfort heroes stated I needed. While the tech was nice-their prices are outrageous and try and get you to fix things that are not even wrong! Do NOT use this company. Save your money and get a reliable company! I wish I would have read reviews on them before spending money to have them come and look at my furnace.

Horrible company, impossible to reach, over charged, we ended up hiring another company to fix their mistakes. Run away!
