  They do NOT stand behind their products! I purchased a king mattress for my daughter and her fiancé in March and when they went to move (only 3 months later) they found black mold on the bottom of it! They were given the run around and were told there was nothing they could do about it. Not impressed with the quality or the customer service at all. I question the materials used and handling of them during the manufacturing process?? Will not recommend to anyone and will definitely share my experience.

  Thank you for your inquiry. Beds By design is committed to quality products and services. We spoke with a gentleman about this situation and it is truly unfortunate. However, this is not a product defect and does not fall under warranty. It was discussed on the call that we can completely replace the mold material for 50% of the product cost which would be $100 and FREE delivery. The gentleman on the phone did mention a humidifier which could be a cause for mold. Below are possible reasons why mold can grown on a mattress:
  
  Humidity
  High humidity levels in the bedroom can create a damp environment that's ideal for mold growth. You can use a hygrometer to measure humidity levels and a dehumidifier to reduce them if needed. Ideally, humidity levels should be kept below 50%.
  
  Poor ventilation
  Poor airflow can prevent a damp mattress from drying out and can also hinder air circulation.
  
  Warm sleeping environment
  A very warm sleeping environment can create a damp and warm environment that's ideal for mold growth.
  
  Liquid spills
  Spilling liquids on your mattress can create moisture that provides a breeding ground for mold spores.
  
  Keeping your mattress on the floor
  Keeping your mattress on the floor can create a damp environment that's ideal for mold growth.
  
  We are more than happy to replace the mold material and restore to original status as stated above.

  Deceitful sales practices and poor customer service. The bed delivered to my home was far inferior quality than the one I trialed at the Beds by Design show floor. I gave it a week of poor sleep, hoping that the bed would acclimate or something? After about a week I contacted Beds by Design staff to notify them that I wanted to return the bed. The salesman argued with me that they would fix it in my home, but that I would need to pay to have the additions to my mattress. Again, I requested that the bed be picked up because I didn't want a product from a business that would deliberately deceive it's customers like that and I certainly wasn't going to give them more money to correct the situation. At this point the salesman sent someone to my home to 'fix' the mattress free of charge. It was more tolerable after the fixes, still not great for the amount I spent or other mattresses I've experienced at that price point, but returning it no longer felt like an option because the staff was so rude the first time I informed them that I didn't want the bed. They would not accept my return as a possibility despite their satisfaction guarantee.
