      On December 23 2024 he came to my home and accessed my washing machine. He stated I needed a new motor one part was covered under warranty and one part he needed to purchase. He stated the part he needed to order cost $145.93 which needed to be prepaid so he could order. He also stated if I pay tye service call fee of $100.00 up front that is all he would charge. I wrote him a check for $245.93 on December 23 2024. Check number 8233. He cashed that check on 12/23/24. I have contacted him on multiple occasions via telephone and text messages to ************ which he has communicated through in the past. I have respectfully requested a follow up on the status of this repair with absolutely no response. I did just review his business rating and it seems this is a pattern with him. He requests payment up front and never completes the repair work.
      I simply want my money back since no work was performed. It is disgraceful that he takes advantage of trusting people who need repair work completed. I now have to invest more money with another service repair company and it will cost me twice as much for the work. Shameful situation at best.

      I had Gene ****** (Gene's Appliance) out in the end of March, he was referred to me by a friend and co-worker. He came to my home told me he thought the part would be $300.00 and I would pay the $140.00 for labor once work was completed in a week. Due to a referral, and wanting to get the fridge repaired I paid the $300.00 upfront and he texted me: $300.00 downpayment the remaining $140.00 due when work is complete. (I still have this text on my phone). After weeks and months of calling every once in a while would get a text response from
      "his wife" saying that they are waiting for the part/ the part was sent back they are waiting for refund..etc. (they would never answer the phone or return voicemails) Now after I have lost patience and threatened filing a complaint she texted me that if I contact them on this number (The cell number he himself gave me) then they would file a harassment charge with the Police Department. It is almost four months later and I just want my money returned. I see there are quite a few bad reviews with people having the same issue excuses as I am getting unfortunately. I do have his cell number and current address, (It is no longer on Doland Ave)

      Do not do business with Gene's Appliance Repair. He has you pay up front parts and does not follow through. It's always the wrong part ordered or it's lost in the mail. If you ask for your money back because it has been 6 months and not repaired yet he tells you that you will have to wait until he gets a refund for the wrong part he ordered. He has a million excuses. Terrible customer service, he won't answer your call and his voicemail has been full for months. TERRIBLE business to deal with. ZERO stars.
