So I took my Cirrus SR22 to these guys in July. Dealt with Alex Foulds dodging calls, emails, text etc. Finally sent someone to go get my plane and he stated it was shaking on the way back. We get it to Florida and start looking around and realize half the stuff on their $11,000 invoice was never even done. He wanted $1800 for a full detail job, said he was only going to charge $750 because he could get to the wings. I think what he meant to say was I couldn't do any of it but I'm still gonna charge you something. This is just the start.

There were little doors under the wings that were corroded but never mentioned in the $4000 Annual and Inspection I paid for that missed this, broken motor mounts, floating gauges, cracked broken dash, holes on the ailerons that had coverings missing to prevent rodents from getting in etc. These guys threatened to keep my plane unless I paid because they knew once I got it I would realize they did practically nothing. I even asked for corroded screws on dash face to be replaced and **** told me they got that done and I kid you not the plane arrives and its the same corroded screws still in it.

I can say this as I am the one who personally dealt with them. I wouldn't let them work on a go-cart much less a several hundred thousand dollar or even multi million dollar airplane of mine ever again. They refuse to give my my money back as the did nothing correctly or at all on the invoice besides easy stuff they felt like messing with such as a oil change, or battery change etc.

I have given them ample opportunity to refund my money so I can pay someone to finish the work and they are just ignoring so I guess at this point they are leaving me no choice but to sue them. I have already received feedback from 3 different companies all verifying they did not do the work the said they did and will be subpoenaed to court if litigation occurs. If they think it will be for just the $11,000 they better thing again.

    Business Response

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/25) */

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your letter dated October 13, 2022, concerning the above
referenced complaint of ****** ****** Your correspondence states the complainer's
name is ****** *****, but in actuality, it is ****** ******

My company's response is as follows:

    (1) Pre-buy/annual inspection of the airplane was not ordered by ****** ***** but by the
Airplane's Broker. The airplane was used and roughly 19 years old.

    (2) The pre-buy/annual inspection was to determine whether or not the airplane was airworthy, not to determine its fair market value, reasonable purchase price, or any other
    conditions unrelated to airworthiness.

    (3) A list of repairs that needed to be addressed for the airplane to pass the
required inspection was generated and those repairs approved.

    (4) Not anything that would cause the airplane to fail inspection was left undone.
Except for changing the screws on the dash, no work was left unfinished nor charged
for. Replacement screws, according to specs, were $ 63.00. Not all the screws turned out to be the correct length despite being ordered from the aircraft parts catalog and so some screws were replaced and some were not.

    (5) ****** ***** complains, "They threatened to keep my plane unless I
    paid...".

There is a common law right for my company to keep possession of an airplane
until payment is received, as well as statutory lien rights pursuant to Tennessee Code
Annotated XX-XX-XXX and 103. See also In re ******

    (6) ****** ***** has made numerous belligerent statements in writing to my
    company concerning this matter, including:

"You'll wish you never met me when all is said and done and I drag your *** into
court for the next year draining your pockets and time."

"If I can prove it was intentionally done I will see what criminal actions can be
    pursued."

"...a customer review is priceless. What's your price tag on a detrimental one on
    yours?"

"Believe me buddy this won't be my first second or third lawsuit I've prevailed in.
Your (sic) talking to a well educated man with a manor (sic) in business law and a lawyer on
    retainer at all times."

    (7) Given Mr. Moore's statements as quoted and other statements he has made,
there is in my opinion no way this matter can be amicably resolved at this time. I
appreciate the Better Business Bureau's attempt to arrange reconciliation concerning
his complaint but believe his complaint is entirely without merit. Mr. Moore has no
legitimate complaint about our service. Our perspective is the complaint of Mr. Moore is
without legitimacy since his major complaints are about repairs that were never
authorized, were not performed, and for which he was not charged.

    (8) Thank you for your correspondence concerning this matter and for giving
Horizon Avionics, Inc. the chance to respond. In the event this matter is publicly
posted on your website, please post all correspondence in its entirety. If I can be of
further assistance, please let me know.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Pictures don't lie. I have pictures before the plane went into their shop and pictures after showing work was not done that I was charged for. I also have 3 expert witnesses that can back up the work was not done and the inspections I paid for were done poorly or not at all. The people also do inspections for airplanes and are the ones who first brought the problems to my attention. Also you post these threats about me taking you to court. I think that should let everyone know you cheated me out of money and did not do what you were suppose too otherwise why would someone have to threaten those. I'm still not done with this company and in talks currently with my attorney to pursue legal action. If you look at their reviews they are known for being shady and poor work without my complaint. You did not satisfy this matter because you stole money for work you did not perform.
