My husband was admitted to KU St. Francis campus in Topeka, KS February 4, 2025 thru the ED. He was never informed he would be billed separately for his doctor's care. After his discharge he received two text messages that first stated that he would receive a bill, the second stating this was his second notice, and he owed $1062.00. We believed it to be a scam so we blocked the number. One week later we received a bill in the mail for $1062.00. No information of who the doctor was, no dates of service, and general language of services rendered. I have talked with KU billing and one person stated it was a scam and other very suspicious, would not answer questions and elusive. I contacted Pt, advocacy, she said she would get back with me. That has not happened, I have left messages and no calls. Researching this company, I believe it to be fraudulent company that practices "surprise billing", they did not submit any claims to Medicare or Tricare for life. I will be contacting CMS to file a complaint also. I see that this company is not accredited by BBB. I don't know what else to do. I will not pay this company until they file with our insurance

Had an L&I claim from my place of employment that required me to go to the local hospital for a possible blood exposure. The hospital tried sending me a bill even though it was an L&I claim. I talked with the billing department at the hospital and with Northwest Emergency Physicians. I was informed it would be handled and haven’t heard anything from them up until March of 2024 when I got a notification I had been sent to collections. I will be contacting a lawyer.

I had 3 separate visits from 9/22-4/23 to the ER at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow Ky. The cheapest thing I was charged to see an ER physician was $1,162 the next time it was****** *** ****** was the highest fee. These fees seem outrageous to me I probably laid my eyes on the ER physicians 5-10 minutes at the most and I realized they looked at my scans and test and they looked at my lab work which probably took them 15-30 minutes at the most and I can't imagine how they can charge these ridiculous fees or why TJ Samson would even use this fraudulent company. I've called this company multiple times last year trying to tell them to turn it over to my insurance that my insurance would discount the fees because TJ Samson had a contract with Caresource then, but they never sent it to my insurance. I talked to my insurance several times my insurance said they never contacted them so I would call them back and give them my information again it was over and over and over again with no results I was getting a 59% discount at TJ Samson because I was enrolled in their low income assistance program at the time so they should have honored that as well and they should have known that because that was on all my files at TJ Samson and if they work for TJ Samson ER they should have been well aware of that. I have since had to quit my job due to health reasons and they, as well as TJ Samson, have turned me over to collections. And they are still trying to collect those unbelievable fees. I worked in healthcare for 38 years and I have seen several specialists in my time, and I have never seen any physician charge these ridiculous fees. The highest fee I have ever seen was still considerably less than **** per visit. I think these people do not want to file insurance because they do not want these fees discounted. They are hoping they can force people to pay these outrageous fees. Also, TJSCH should realize that using this company makes them appear to be unethical.

Team Health is a fraudulent company that illegally bills patients for services they never received. I recently had surgery at Leconte Hospital. I received a bill from my doctor's billing department for his services. Shortly after, I received a bill for his services from Team Health. I called my doctor and his billing department and they said they have never done business with Team Health. I then talked to Team Health who insists I pay this bill. I am now getting a letter from my billing department stating they do not do business with Team Health and they know nothing about this bill to send to the credit bureaus to have this removed. I am contemplating trying to get the Knoxville News Sentinel to run a story on how fraudulent this company is in hopes that other patients will realize they can fight this company. Please do your research about this company and don't pay them if they cannot prove this is a legitimate bill from your doctor or hospital.

My child recieved medical care from ER and insurance paid in full my child’s coverage. 2 months later I received a bill from TEAM Health for over 1400$. They claim they never received payment from my insurance and that we need to work with insurance to pay them. Insurance said team health needs to contact them. This is a back and fourth battle and i have been stuck in the middle threatened with collections for a bill I should not have recieved. This is a surprise bill and is ILLEGAL according to US law. If my bill is not reimbursed in full and taken off I will have no choice but to sue this company for fraudulent charges. The ball is in your court team health.

I have received a fraud bill stating that I visited ER but I have not been to doctors in years. I don’t even live in the city where that ER is. I don’t have insurance either. This billing company received my name and address in a fraudulent way. I called them and they dismissed the bill but that doesn’t change the fact that it was billing fraud.

In Jan., 2022 I was seen at an ER to be treated for a mild concussion following a car accident. The hospital received payment in full from the other driver's car insurance. Soon after, I began receiving a bill from team health. This is unacceptable, as the hospital has already collected payment. I should not be receiving additional medical bills from this visit.
