    On Monday November 11th a truck pulled in our driveway selling Meats. He said it was guaranteed or your money back. I bought a variety pack of meat and paid $250.00 cash. On Tuesday the 12th we grilled a pair of the ribeyes, we could not eat them they were tough as leather.
    I have left several messages on their Facebook page and have called several times and no answer. I have and would like to return the remaining meat and receive a refund. I would appreciate your help with this matter. Thanks for your help !!

    I reached out to smokeymountainmeats the exact day I ordered to request a refund. Items not even opened completely frozen.

    I was first told they no longer accept returns due to covid, however after looking at reviews it proved otherwise.

    I called back as well as messaged stating my findings and was told that i would be called back.
    A few hours later I received a message from the sales representative trying to keep me as a customer, while I appreciated the offer, I still wanted a refund. Manger left voice-mail when called a few moments later voice-mail left with no return call

    Day 2 I sent a message again to the sales person and manager asking for the statues of my refund and estimated time for pick up.
    Sales representative replied an hour later and told me they would have to find time within deliveries to come by. I admittedly responded asking if the refund would be given today.
    Two hours later sales rep responded stating it would have to be the following day as they were no longer in the state.

    Day 3
    I have left another voice-mail, sent another text as well as messaged on Facebook all to not get any response.
    Sales representative has not arrived as well.

    I was told if I had any issues with the product I could call and it would be taken care of right away. However that doesn't seem like it could be true, if getting a refund and pick up of product seems near to impossible to happen.

    I am posting here for evidence that I have done everything in my power to get this problem solved. As well as warn prospective customers.

    It's really awful to do this to a first and last time customer.

    3/31 Victor came to my property and said the meat was additive and antibiotic free. 160$ purchased. This was obviously a lie, the meat wreaked of saline and chemicals and half of them melted away since it was all gel additive. He gave me the number for his manager Shane who threatens to not give a refund regardless if the 3 day rescission is sent. Shane said 3/31 someone would be by that morning. No one came, I caled the office and a woman called Shane and he told her to make me send in the rescission which I have done. This company is as shady as can be and Victor even said he caters to Hispanics. Most likely due to language barriers and manipulation if I had to go off experience. No refunds received as of yet. Wish i was smart enough to not trust someone at their word, very unfortunate hassle.
    They will say they stand by their food not fit for a dog, but anyone reading please save yourself the frustration.

    We regret to hear that Mr. ****** believes that our company is shady. We stand behind our product, and want to work to
    rectifying any situations that customers are unhappy with. A written request for rescinded orders must be received by the corporate office within 3 (three) days, excluding Sunday, and by midnight of the third business day of purchase by Certified Mail - pending cleared funds. (Attached copy of company receipt) Mr. ****** was refunded the full amount of $160.00 on 4/7/23 after our corporate office received his written request via certified mail.  Attached is the refund receipt.

    On August 6, 2022, I purchased $250 dollars worth of meat from **** ** of Smokey Mountain Meats. (I found him on Facebook and he has our picture up with other sales he made that day, indicating what a good sales day he had) He indicated the meat was processed in Florida and immediately shipped to them for distribution. I told him I don't purchase meat from the grocery store, but instead purchase from a local farmer. He said the meat was comparable to that and was grass fed. He showed me a brochure for the company, but I told him I didn't have my reading glasses with me and he told me a little about the company and how if I had any problems at all to just call him and he would take care of me. Once he left, I took the information off the boxes into my house, found my reading glasses, and began to read the labels. Every package of meat he sold me, except for the hamburger, has additives, including sugar. I am diabetic and limit the amount of sugar in my diet. I called him within the hour of him leaving and explained that I wasn't okay with the additives in the meat and he said he would see what he could do. He never returned my call, I tried him 3 or 4 more times over the next couple of weeks and never heard anything back from the messages I left. I called the company on August 10 and was told their Customer Service person would call me back, again, no call. I sent an email on August 10 to fulfill their contact information when asking for a refund, again, no response. I tried calling and leaving messages 2 more times at the number on the brochure, on August 15 and 18 with no response. I would like my money refunded and the meat picked up.

    Customer service manager, **** *** spoke with customer ***** G. and offered to switch out the product that she was dissatisfied with. Per our company policy that is stated on our brochures, a written request for rescinded order must be received by our office within 3 (three) days, excluding Sunday and by midnight of the third business day of purchase by certified mail. Our office did not receive this documentation from customer. Customer states that an email was sent with her contact info on August 10, but we never received an email with this information. At this time we would be happy to switch out the product.
