    I saw a therapist at Family Care Center for several months. She was on the computer a lot, but that was fine -- I understand that's their system. What was *not* fine was them billing me in full for my last session. The second half of the session was the "discharge" portion, and the provider was on the computer the entire time. She barely talked to me, didn't look at me, and it definitely wasn't therapy, which is what I was paying for. All of what she was typing could and should have been done after our session, not during. (Side note: at the start of the call she told me that most of her patients don't tell her they're done with therapy, they just never schedule another appointment. I should have known right then what was about to happen. I almost asked her at the end of the call (it was virtual) to confirm she would not bill me for typing a "discharge plan" and ignoring me, but I thought surely she wouldn't because of how unreasonable that would be.)What I want is for the last 30 minutes of my last session with my therapist to be written off. I'm willing to pay for the first 30 minutes, but not the last, because that should have been handled outside of my session. I shouldn't have to pay for her to write up a plan that wasn't for me but just for my chart. I also don't appreciate that I was never told that Family Care Center is outside of my insurance network. They didn't bill me for months, and then I got a bill for $1,000+. Their whole way of doing business is shady.

After reviewing the complaint and communicating with our ****************** we have moved forward with waiving the fee for ********************** 4/15/2024 appointment in full.   We have spoken with ********************, and she was amenable to this resolution.  We will consider this matter closed.  Thank you.
