I took my 2017 Porsche Cayenne to Porsche of Nashville in March 2024 for an electrical problem. Since that day, I have been emailing and calling the service department regarding my car, but I would only get a response after sending 3 or 4 emails. Finally, after 4 months of constant calls and emails, the General Manager (GM) informed me that I could pick up a loaner car.
After a month of having the loaner, I started emailing and calling again to get an update on my car. After 6 months of holding my car for an electrical issue, they finally sent me an estimate of over $33,000, claiming my timing belt was broken!
On Thursday afternoon, they called, asking me to return the loaner car. I explained that I had a very busy Friday and might be going out of town, but I assured them I would return the car no later than Monday, as agreed. I also confirmed that I would ensure the car wouldn't exceed 4,500 miles. However, on Friday at 2:15 PM, I received a voicemail from GM Cody B****** threatening me that I must return the car immediately, or they would come and retrieve it themselves.
When I called him back, he was extremely unprofessional and rude. He kept pressuring me, making me upset, and then told me to come see him face to face to see if I could "talk to him like that" in person!

*** ************* Cayenne was towed to us in March of 2024 unresponsive due to flood damage instigated by leaving the sunroom open. The interior of the Cayenne had to be removed since the interior modules were corroded and would not communicate. *** *********** wanted to run all repairs through his insurance company meaning we now have a third-party company to communicate with for any approval for work and diagnosis. Once the electrical issues were diagnosed and approved it was then discovered that the car was originally inoperable due to an immediate need for timing chains most likely due to a front-end impact from a salvaged title. *** *********** wanted this to be submitted to be covered by insurance and on two occasions an insurance adjuster had come to Porsche of Nashville to verify that this would not be the case. Each time this was communicated to *** *********** he insisted we resubmit through the insurance portal which kept delaying the process. The final communication came from our service advisor stating that insurance had once again denied the claim and he needed to come pick up his Cayenne and bring the loaner car back. He kept pushing back on bringing the loaner back even stating his girlfriend needed it to run around while he was out of town. We informed him she was not authorized to drive the loaner and we offered to have his Cayenne towed to him. A voicemail was then left by the General Manager instructing to return the loaner or we would be forced to retrieve it but also offered to have his Cayenne towed to him and pick up the loaner once again. A call then was made from *********** to the General Manager with profanity and yelling that ended in *** *********** hanging up on the General Manager. On that call it was communicated that that language would not be tolerated and that when he brought the loaner back he needed to see the General Manager if he was going to conduct himself in that manner. There is no reason for someone to act and speak in that way to anyone. The following day he had the loaner towed back to Porsche of Nashville and his Cayenne towed away. *** *********** is not to come back on the Porsche of Nashville campus due to his emotional and irrational language.

The GM at Porsche of Nashville is not telling the truth about my car. I never said my girlfriend was going to drive their loaner car. I've been in the car business for more than 10 years, so I know exactly how the process works. Also, my car does not have a salvage title. I'm more than happy to send you a picture of my title and forward you all the emails I've been sending to their service department over the past 6 months.
I had to drive to Porsche of Nashville 3/4 times just to speak to them in person because no one was responding to my emails or calls.
My Insurance was telling me they've been tried to get a hold on someone at service department but they couldn't. My car was there for 6 months and I can send you at least one of the modules that you can shake it and hear the water inside of it!
when they called me on Thursday afternoon and ask me to take their car back,
I told them I would return the car, I have a very busy schedule on Fridays and Saturdays and might go out of town. However, I assured them I would return the car no later than Monday. I mentioned I might ask my girlfriend to bring the car, but I wasn’t sure exactly Friday or Saturday and what time.
Since they gave me the loaner, I’ve emailed them more than 8 times without any response. The only time they replied was when I mentioned that the loaner mileage was going up and requested an update on my car. The GM even asked me to come to the dealership and talk to him face to face.
Unfortunately, I've experienced a tragic loss and have a funeral on Saturday, so I sent a tow truck to collect my car and returned the loaner. It’s really a shame that Sonic Automotive, a company I’ve dealt with at other locations before, is handling the situation this way through their GM.
I know he can charge whatever he want, but they quote me $19,796.66 to replace my timing chain!! the whole timing chain kit from Porsche dealer is $2673.22 and ($17,123.44 labor)
They also quote me $7,067.34 to FIX/REPLACE ONE head light!
