My husband and I had a business and personal checking account with Builtwell. Within less than 6 months, we closed them, namely due to Trey at the South Pittsburg branch. He became confrontational with my husband, had a screaming match with him in the lobby of the bank - showing zero professionalism, and smeared our name in the community.
We left that bank, and moved our business to ***** ********* ****, who was amazing.
Builtwell staff is not friendly. They often gave our employees a hard time making deposits, and were rude to them. I would not recommend them to anyone.

This bank has some questionable policies in my opinion. One being a nine day hold on cashiers checks from other banks. In my opinion that is a policy of stealing interest. Another issue Is their "24/7" online banking. It would be more accurate were it referred to as 22/7 banking. Reason I say that is that they update their systems everyday between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. central time. During this time any online transfers will not go through. This is a daily issue. Despite their website advertising "24/7 banking anytime anywhere" this is not the case. Their online banking agreement makes no mention of this and they certainly do not make it known to you ahead of time. The local branch is great, but there are some systemic issues with their cororate policies imo. My wife and I still have checking and savings accounts with them, but chose to go to another bank for our mortgage. We chose to remain with them due to them being local, but did not trust them with something as important as our home mortgage.
