    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

At no time were any of the delays because of me.  I had to install the flooring in the bathroom with a portion of the bathroom subfloor not reinstalled even with the rest of the floor because of pressure from Mel wanting to get the plumbers back in. It would seem common sense that if a portion of floor is cut out to install plumbing it should go back in flush with the rest of the floor.  I have learned that common sense does not exist within this company.  Wish someone had warned me!!  If I had wanted sloping floors, I would have done those myself. I paid to have a job done right and got nothing close.  It wasn't as much a matter of money as it was the satisfaction of doing things ourselves.  In regards to the balance he still wants to collect, the wall should have been included in the original cost if Mel had any basic knowledge of construction, which he apparently does not.  Instead, I paid an overinflated invoice for incomplete work. I very deeply regret using this company and possibly if it had not been for Covid, other companies would have been more responsive.  If i had it do over again, I would never consider this company with even a phone call.  Too bad he isn't as reliable as his brother.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ******

hind their work have gone ignored. I was advised it was not going to be beneficial to file a suit against them.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/03/2022

    To whom it may concern:

As to the job taking longer than expected, Mrs. ****** wanted to do some of the work herself along with her daughter. It was an impossible situation because as everyone knows a garage floor slopes. She put her own floors in although she had no experience in doing this kind of work. As far as insulation not being in an outside wall, she was given the choice of not having any or paying us to do it. No mystery there.

I responded to her complaints and told her I would be glad to come back and see if we could help if she would pay the $500 balance she owes based on a signed contract.

The one lesson I have learned is to not partner with someone trying to do some of their own work. The contractor always gets blamed for anything wrong.

Also, anyone stretched for money does not need to do the work unless they can get out of the way and let us do what we know how to do.

She needs to send the $500 she owes as soon as possible.
