Years ago, when I opened my loans and accounts here it was an actual hometown Credit union. Now, they are nothing but a faceless conglomerate masquerading as a hometown credit union. They no longer care about the Customer but more about their bottom line. New fees, policies and procedures implemented around Covid have seem to stick and aren't going anywhere. This is sad. They have completely cut out all person-to-person interactions and force you to use ATMs to talk to someone, even inside the Branches. When you are a few days late on a payment, they use their collectors (ie Tyler B*****) to harass and intimidate you all while freezing cards and accounts keep your from doing any unrelated banking business. This place is a mess. Fortunately, I've already moved my money accounts so they can't control my money on their whim.

TVFCU denied me a small business loan for 10k
Denied me a low risk 5000 loan for my first car
Denied a loan for my wife
Denied my most recent truck purchase then mailed me a month later pre approving me for an auto loan
Refinanced with them for 3 percent then called me back a month later to tell me there was an error and changed it to 7 percent.
Their app is terrible as well
I only continue to use them because of convenience and laziness but ******* is looking real good now.
I just happened to find this page because I got an ad in the banking app of them saying "we support small businesses let us show you" which leads me to believe they've probably been told they are terrible for small businesses for a long time and they're trying to change that image.
Sad state of affairs, not to mention I've been blatantly and sarcastically disrespected by a teller before in the past.
It's a shame that a bank that used to carry such a stellar reputation is slowly becoming the American version of a ******* manufacturer

I would find another option. Be leary of them adding auto insurance of $4-$5k annually and repetitively. I've been insured the entire lift of the load. They will not tell you about it on the front end. They will slide an email about it in the hundred promotional emails they send you. They might send a piece of mail expecting you to get it, read it, understand it, and comply. All the while sending you a ton of promotional mail. It's 2023, there are multi ways to better handle this on their end. They will blame every problem they have on their old system. Their low interest rates are not worth it. You get what you pay for. Regretfully, I made the switch from Ally and never had this problem with them. They added $12k on top of my $30k car loan. I caught it late and having the WORST time getting them to fix it. I've been dealing with this since November 2022. Their Manager of Loan Support Department (Paul P******* Jr) finally gave me an email with substance but even then he's made it easy for me to think even he doesn't care. I promise this is out of character for me and maybe I'm overreacting. I always fall victim to expecting others to address customer service the way I do or how it should be addressed. I just don't want anyone else to experience what I have been experiencing with them.

25+ years we have been members. This new crap they have started of holding checks from reputable businesses is a joke. I deposited a check yesterday that I need to save my house. It is drawn from a Loan Company that uses a local bank, so be easy to verify. Was told over phone a manager could get it released that day. Hell no manager said 5 days then smarted off it was still within the time frame to save my house from Foreclosure. True but just barely and it is ridiculous that years ago I could deposit 25000 and use it that day. Tired of them and their not caring for customers, time I guess to move on. Thier new younger employees treat you like your be neath them for even asking a simple question.

BBB Limits you to 2000 characters for their reviews. My initial draft of this review was over 5000 characters. For an almost complete review, just go to any of TVFCU's google pages, they allow 4000 characters. I left my review on all branches :)
In Dec '22 I get a notification from Amazon that my payment had failed, that doesn’t surprise me as Amazon seems to be the number one cause of all my supposed ‘fraudulent’ charges. I have no text, no phone call. Same for my husband. Nothing on my mothers phone. So I call the usual number and they have nothing. I call TVFCU and was given the run around until I was transferred to a supervisor who told me my card was shut down in December because of unresolved fraud in September. I never received any notification.
While we have opened a bank account with another institution we are still getting things set up, so during this interim period we have been using the Venmo debit card to pull from our TVFCU account. We accidentally caused the account to overdraft and TVFCU hits us with 10 courtesy pays & insufficient fund fees.
We called customer service and spoke with Crystal. She informed us that she would only be able to reverse 3 charges and that for anymore we would need to speak with the Vice President Linda E****. She wouldn’t give out her contact info, which I understand is policy but also wouldn’t transfer us to leave a voicemail since Linda had already left early for the day.
After getting in contact with Linda she went back and forth with my husband and tried to say that we were just bad at managing our money. That is just outright terrible customer service and gives you a pretty good feeling of how helpful TVFCU will be with you when you’re in the same situation.

I recently opened a savings account at this credit union. My daughter had a car loan with a higher than normal interest rate. I SECURED a loan for more than the loan amount. SECURED MEANING THE MONEY FOR THE LOAN IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE. After several months of horrible dealings with these folks I went in to find they so casually WITHOUT INFORMING ME OR ASKING ME IF I WANTED IT added credit life insurance to my loan. Now keep in mind this loan is secured no chance of the bank ever losing any money. I told them I was not asked or informed, nor did I ever receive any documentation for the credit life insurance. They are sorry this happened but nothing they can do about it?? I thought credit unions were to help people, guess I was wrong. Well....they can start the procedure to cancel it, but I have lost an additional $20.00 per month, for something I did not ask for or receive paperwork for. Needless to say rather than putting more money in their pockets I paid the loan off and took the remainder of the money to *******.
This is a horrible credit union. I would advise anyone not to go there. They are rude and inconsiderate.
I would also rate less than 1 star if possible. I will also be contacting CUNA to file a complaint.

They put my check in Savings instead of my checking plus a 7 day hold on it. So then my Insurance came out of my checking they charged me a fee . I wanted it deposited in my checking so my bills would be covered. I thought they was better then ******* at 1st not no more . They don't treat customers with Respect.

Run away from this bank. Don’t think they won’t treat you how they treated me. I am sorry but they will…and it is awful.
I feel humiliated by the way I was treated. I had started a new job and have waited every day to get my paycheck. I took it over to this credit union excited about paying my bills and finally having grocery and gas money. The teller told me they would have to put a 10 day hold on it. It was obviously a paycheck from a national well-own company. No way it could be called or fake. It was also only for about $300 for goodness sakes. He told me to go to Walmart. I have cancer and can’t go into places like Walmart because of my risk of catching Covid. He could care less he actually told me to go to Walmart. I have a bank account and a savings account why on earth would I have to go stand in line at Walmart at risk getting exposed to Covid with my cancer. The worst part is when I complained about the policy he said well let me make sure that your account is one that has to have the 10 day hold. Then he came back and said yes your account requires it. I am 60 years old what’s wrong with me that I have to have a 10 day hold? They have the worst customer service I mean can you imagine treating a client with a new account so badly? What’s $300 to that bank? They have caused me so much distress today. I still don’t have it cashed There is no reason to treat people so Rudely.
