    This agent wrote a policy without SR22, which I made clear was mandatory. My payment would not go through online and they advised me I would have to come into the office to pay and sign paperwork. I was unable to make it to their office which is 30 minutes away, so I obtained a policy thru an agent closer to home. But lawhorn charged my card $138 from their office and wrote the policy without SR22 and without my signature. They did not inform me of any of this, I was totally unaware they had done this. My license got suspended due to the absence of the SR22, which I was also unaware of until I almost went to jail due to a suspended license. Luckily the officer saw I did have active insurance thru a different agent and allowed me the opportunity to get the issue straightened out. I also had to pay a reinstatement fee of $115 to the state for lawhorns negligence. Lawhorn made no attempt to correct the issue when I questioned them about this.

    The complaint you received on 8/18/2023, from ***** ****** is false. She has been a customer of ours since 2007 not sure why she would 

    call in to complain about us, but as far as her saying we didn't file an SR22, we did and her down payment did go through. She actually cancelled for

    nonpayment for her Sept payment not being paid, however she would have later on cancelled for not e-signing her paperwork, which she chose to do,

    because she didn't want to come in the office as she normally does. She wouldn't receive a refund, because she was coverd for that first month. It was earned premium.

     

    Attached you will find all copies of her application which shows we did do it with SR22, receipt for her down payment, which she provided, copy of her next bill for Sept payment,

    copy of cancel notice, and notice of lapse.

    I am rejecting this response because: they are contradicting themselves because an e-signature does not require an in office visit. This point alone proves their inaccuracies.
