After filing a complaint about Mountain View Chevy in December of 2024 and several trips to the dealership for them to try and figure out what the noise in my car was it has finally been fixed . It was a hard problem to find ! But through much effort from Jason W********* and several service people they finally figured out what and where the noise was coming from and it is now taken care of . I want to thank Larry White for taking the time to contact me and making sure that my problem was solved . Thank you

    Carol,
We're thrilled to read your review! It's fantastic that our team's persistence paid off and they were able to track down the source of that tricky noise. We'll be sure to share your compliments with Jason, the service team, and Larry. Thank you for choosing Mountain View Chevy!

Mt. View Chevrolet advertised a vehicle as "certified" on ********** and other places. I asked ********** to send them my info and Mt. View contacted me the next morning. They told me everything was working on the vehicle and they could bring it two hours to me. I asked them for a video and to try everything to make sure it was all working. They sent me the video and assured everything worked perfectly. When I asked if I could have Lemon Squad come by and inspect it before they brought it to me, they said they had already given it a thorough inspection themselves and that it has a 6 mo 6000 mile warranty on the powertrain. I asked several other questions and they never told me about the cars problems. They told me there was no room for price negotiation as it was at the bottom. I asked for the "out the door" price and they would not give it to me. They wanted to bring me the car and let me drive it first. I asked 3 times for a copy of the car inspection. I didn't want them to bring it until I had it inspected and I didn't want to pay for a Lemon Squad inspection until I had seen Mt. View's own inspection. On my 3rd request for a copy of their inspection they finally told me that they could not send it to me. Finally they told me there were two problems they would not pay for: 2 bent wheels and the non-functioning front camera. They were willing to bring me a car for $40,000 without telling me about the damages until I made them give me the results of their inspection and the cost of repairs... and then they said they had priced the car accordingly. This is clear dishonesty and bait and switch. Not honest people who care for others at all.

Our records show that from the time your lead came into our system on 5/19/2024 until late afternoon of 5/20/2024, our team answered all of your questions by sending videos, text messages and phone calls. You were sent the out the door numbers and given all of the information from our service inspection as well. You decided that our vehicle wasn't the one for you, and that is OK, but in no way did we mislead you.

I was charged a fee for disposal and Mt. View did not service my vehicle. Called several times for a refund no one bothered to call me back for a week or more. Absolutely the worst place to take your vehicle!!!!!

In the automotive repair industry, it's a standard practice to include various fees on a repair order to cover the costs associated with the service provided. These fees often encompass environmental charges, waste disposal, and supply costs. The environmental fee typically covers the safe disposal of hazardous materials, such as used oil or coolant, in compliance with environmental regulations. Waste disposal fees are charged for the removal and treatment of non-hazardous waste generated during the repair process. Supply fees may include the use of shop materials like rags, gloves, and small parts that are not itemized individually. These fees ensure that the business can maintain compliance with environmental laws, provide safe disposal of waste, and cover the costs of consumables used during the repair process.

This is the worst dealership ever!. We were from Florida driving to Illinois when the truck went down to 20mph. Had the truck towed to this dealership since it was the closest to us. We told the service manager that we were at a hotel with 3 dogs if they could work on our vehicle. They replaced a fuel module but they need another module. If the part came in on Friday, we were told that we could have the truck on Saturday. Part came in...but we called and called on Saturday and was told that there wasn't a mechanic available on Saturday. So it cost us an additional $300 in hotel fees and waited till Monday. The truck was fixed in less than an hour. Drove to Illinois and we then needed fuel. The truck would not take any fuel and kept spitting it out. They didn't put the truck back together correctly. Tried calling Scott, service manager, several times and would not return our phone calls. The dealership and personnel are not respectful nor empathetic towards customers. PLEASE...DO NO TO HERE!

    Dear Mr. & Mrs. K***,
We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you faced with the fuel tank not accepting fuel in your vehicle. It was an oversight on our part that the hose was not properly installed after we replaced the modules. We take full responsibility for this mistake and we are ready to reimburse you for any repair costs you may have incurred. Please let us know the status of your vehicle and the amount you paid for fixing the fuel tank issue.
We also apologize for the delay in getting the right parts for your vehicle. We followed the GM parts guide instructions, but we received the wrong module twice. We contacted GM Technical Assistance and they found and corrected the error in their system. They sent us the correct part as soon as possible and we installed it on your vehicle without further delay.
We understand your frustration with not getting a call back from our Service Manager. He was on vacation that weekend, but he should have returned your call as soon as he came back. He regrets his oversight and he asks for your forgiveness.
We value your business and we appreciate your patience with us. We hope to restore your trust and satisfaction with our service. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make this right for you.

We have bought 4 vehicles from this dealer and the 2016 Tahoe they sold us had failing lifters, we never got paperwork on the inspection that was supposed to have been done prior to purchasing, they charged us $5000 to replace only half the lifters, then we get it back it sounded worse like a tractor, they claimed it was a vacuum line that busted that was a known problem, it was magically replaced under some special warranty. Someone forgot to hook up the vacuum line after replacing lifers and they were covering their ***** more than likely, because the lifters are also know to fail on those models because of the active fuel management system, but they were not covered under a special warranty, keep in mind this cars check engine light came on 2 weeks after buying I had to replace the plugs and wires. The general manager tells me he will see about refunding me the money spent on repairs but would not call me back or answer any calls, when I finally got him on the phone he was supposed to call me back and didn't have the ***** to call me he had someone else call to tell me. This place is a joke I don't see how they sleep at night knowing they rip people off.

The customer purchased this 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe with 78,075 miles on 12/17/2022 without purchasing a extended service contract and due to time and mileage the factory warranty had expired. The customer signed the Buyers Guide, (AS-IS-NO-WARRANTY) "You will pay all costs for any repairs. The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle." We also go as far as to have every customer that purchases a pre-owned vehicle sign a ALL SALES ARE FINAL form that reads: You are purchasing a preowned vehicle that will need repairs. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We hope this vehicle will prove to be a good one, but we can guarantee nothing. There is no implied or expressed warranties. Any repairs that are included as part of this sales contract must be in writing and signed by the manager who approved the sale.

We received a call from the customer about having engine issues sometime in April of 2023 and we opened a ticket for diagnostic on 4/13/2023 and the current mileage on the vehicle was 85,251 miles. To the best of my knowledge the customer never contacted anyone here about a check engine light coming on weeks after as stated in the review. We diagnosed the problem and the vehicle needed lifters and an injector replaced to correct the problem. The customer was notified and agreed to the repairs so repairs were made, and the customer picked the vehicle up on 4/19/2023. Customer returns on 4/24/2023 at 85418 miles and is hearing a rattling noise again but different than before. We provided a vehicle for the customer to drive while repairs were being performed on this occasion as well as the previous. On this diagnostic we found a vacuum pump that provides vacuum to the brake booster that has failed, and we were able to get assistance through the manufacturer due to known issues with this part in the past.  So, there was no charge to the customer. When the customer came to pick the vehicle up, the service manager and I spoke with the customer to explain what we had to repair and why. The two issues were not related, and the customer understood, thanked us a picked the vehicle up and left.  We cannot offer a refund for any repairs performed as described above. These issues were unfortunate, and we took that into consideration and provided the customer with free transportation while repairs were being made but the repairs performed were not due to negligence on the dealer's part and the customer understood they had purchased a vehicle out of factory warranty.
