Keefe plumbing evaluated a leak from the water line going into my house. I think was caused by a small earthquake. They located the water line and the leaking area and had to reroute a line into the house as the leak was under the house and could not be reached. Matthew and his crew dug up the line at the closest proximity to the house that was accessible and routed a new line. Cleaned up the yard nicely and the cost of the repair was very reasonable.
I would highly recommend this company.

Elderly parents ordered brand new parts/fixtures from Lowes for installation. 5 hours later and a new HOLE in their shower with NO HOT WATER ANYMORE. so after almost $800 in labor/fees my parents were told that they must "have done something" and that it will not be checked any further without additional charges. I will be relentless in my pursuit of solution for my parents. This company that has been around for years as a reputable business has screwed up and blaming my parents for their shoddy work ethic. Worker would not provide a card of identification/referral and acted odd. Do Not trust these people with your home. They do not stand behind their work. If it isn't right when they leave they will be glad to charge you again to come back and fix it. They are not concerned with customer satisfaction whatsoever. They will argue and accuse you of tearing up their work! HOW RIDICULOUS....already paid cash for it, why would they want to tear it up?
Do NOT waste your time with this company.

    Ms. ************,

After looking into the above mentioned claim, we have found the following: the plumber did come out and installed two new bathroom faucets that your parents did supply. He also replaced the cartridge in the shower, however to get to the shower valve, he had to cut the wall, which was explained prior to it being done. That had to be approved by the customer, because we do not do sheetrock repair and the customer would have to have someone else complete that. Once that was explained, permission was given to the plumber to continue with the work. In regards to the plumber not giving a card/identification, our plumbers wear Keefe Plumbing uniforms, with their names printed on them, as well as driving a company truck with the company name on it. If there were any issues with the work that had been completed, we were not made aware, as you had stated that there was no hot water in the shower. We strive to complete all jobs to the customers satisfaction, and there are times when jobs take longer, due to having to cut walls, parts not being correct, or other issues that may have been found. If there is anything further that you would like to address, please feel free to contact our office directly, as we have not had any calls since the original service appointment was scheduled.

CHARGED FOR 1.5 HOURS AND UNDERSTAND THE $125.00 SERVICE FEE BUT WAS TOLD THEY CHARGE FROM THE TIME THE PLUMBERS WERE DISPATCHED. SO THE ADDITIONAL FEE OF 68.50 WAS FOR WHEN THEY WERE INFORMED AND ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE.
THIS FEE IS A RIP OFF. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TIME THE PLUMBERS WERE CALLED AND WHERE DID THEY COME FROM TO GET TO MY HOUSE? THIS SHOULD BE CALLED A DISPATCH FEE THEN IT HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE BILLING. IT STILL WOULD NOT BE A FEE OF 68.50 TO CALL PLUMBERS AND TELL THEM THEY HAVE A JOB.. IT TAKES ABOUT TWO MINUTES OR LESS TO DISPATCH A CALL AND FOR THE CALL TO BE ANSWERED. MY CELL PHONE BILL IS LESS. WAS I CHARGED FOR THE DISTANCE OR THE TIME.
I KNOW THIS CHARGE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE STATEMENT TOLD HOW MUCH THE SERVICE CHARGE IS. ALSO, $125.OO SERVICE CHARGE IS OVER PRICED. THEY DID A GOOD JOB BUT HAD I KNOW ABOUT THE DISPATCH FEE I WOULD HAVE CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY WHICH I WILL DO FOR ANY FUTURE PLUMBING PROBLEMS.
ACTUALLY, THE COMPANY SHOULD BE GRATGEFUL AND OFFER A DISCOUNT. SO MANY BUSINESSES HAVE CLOSED BECAUSE THE LACK OF BUSINESS. I WOULD LIKE THE 68.50 REMOVED FROM MY BILL OWED.

We would like to look further into this situation, however we would need the address that the service was completed at in order to find more information. If the party that has submitted the complaint can either submit the information via BBB or contact our office, we will investigate further.

We have been able to locate the customer's information.
    Ms. *****,
We have a telephone script that explains we charge $129.00 per hour for one man labor, We tell everyone that the time starts when the plumber is dispatched to their home. We then explain that it is a minimum $129.00 labor charge plus materials. You were charged $45.50 for materials. $4.21 sales tax and $193.50 for labor (1.50 Hrs.) and gave a Senior Discount of $19.35, which came to an invoice total of $223.86. One and half hours labor to drive to your home and remove & reinstall a basket strainer is a reasonable amount of time. Our office mailed you an invoice that shows the break down of materials, tax, labor, and the senior discount on 02/22/2023.
We charge everyone the same rate regardless of where they live. We are not a "flat rate" plumbing shop. We charge for the time and the materials we use. We are upfront about our charges. We have been in business since 1950 with the same family ownership. We stand behind our work with a 90 day warranty on repair work.
It is unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding. In part thanks to your feedback we have now changed our script to include the words "drive time" to make it clear to those who may not understand "when the plumber is dispatched".
