I started miller motte in August of this year. I lost my apartment because I was a full time student in school they said I didn’t apply for their tax credit anymore. So I tried to continue school with no place no Internet access. Miller motte has yet to give me a truthful explanation of my charges because I finally dropped classes in November because I just couldn’t keep up I was stressed an living from house to house which I made them aware. I never received a refund since my first term. Miller stated my loans from the first term hadn’t come in until the 2nd term so what happened to my refund from the first term? Then I asked just because the funds arrived late does that mean I’m not intitled to what was already owed to me. My account had a credit balance that of $711.44 as I was told by a rep from the school an the call was recorded. I spoke to someone today about the credit balance dropping down to $300 and something dollars I didn’t get any explanation except the rep informed me wrong so what is there still a credit balance of $300 and something on my account now? Nobody can tell me how is that so if the process of the funds hadn’t been completed It would not show a credit balance I have screenshots of the credit balance an I know the calls are recorded someone is stealing money at miller motte. I lost a lot behind this school now their telling me the process isn’t completed yet an loans are still coming in for me I laughed at that because I dropped school in November so how can they tell me that they know I’ll have a balance owed on the account for sure but the funds and calculations are still being mad but they know for sure I’ll have a balance

      Response:
The above named student was enrolled at Miller-Motte College beginning on August 8, 2023 in the 100% online Health Information Technology program. As stated by the student, our records show that she withdrew on November 17, 2023. The student is correct in that she had a credit balance of $711.44. However after she withdrew and the the withdrawal refund calculation was completed based on the refund policy in the MMC catalog and on the student’s enrollment agreement and a refund made to her federal Stafford unsubsidized loans in the amount of $298.00 as required by the US Department of Education, the student now has a credit balance of $413.69, of which will be returned to the student. The withdrawal calculation was completed on 12/12/2023 and a refund is required to be completed by MMC within 14 days as per our refund policy. The student should contact MMC to ensure all contact information on file is current.
