I went to this apartment complex was showed around and decided to apply. I was told that I would have a $75 application fee. I was told that there would be a $200 administration fee and some other fee that would be returned upon either a denial or if I decided not to move forward with the move in. I was told that the only thing that would not be returned would be the $75 application fee. I was charged in total $600 for an application then I was told that I was approved based on contingent and I had to pay $1000 deposit. I asked *******, why and she said it was based on my credit I review my credit all the time and my credit is not bad so I toldher there was no possible way and that I did not want to move forward with it. She said it was a possibility that my credit information was crossed with someone elses after a few disagreement conversations. I spoke to someone else and they told me that it was based on rental history and my rental history is perfect regardless, I decided not to move forward with the application and was told that the money was gonnago back in my account then I was told by nickelplate management that it was nsf and I would not be getting my money back, which is not true. I file a dispute with my bank, and I have been in constant communication with no communication in return with this company and with the apartment complex. Im two weeks in still money, not been returned. Dispute still on going with bank. At this point they stole my money and are refusing to return all but the 75$ app fee

Application was processed which requires upfront processing fees.  The application was approved conditional, requiring a $1,000 conditional fee.  The applicant canceled the application after getting the results. During the refund process, charges were disputed as per the screenshots provided by the individual who filed this claim.  Then the charges were reversed/NSF/or card removed from the file, thus creating insufficient fund charges of $30 for standard fees and $30 for the security deposit.  The property did not receive the funds to refund; they came back insufficient.
