In march 2023 I was told that my timing belt needed to be change before the year is out. And If I hear it squeaking to make arrangements to bring it in. On Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 I dropped my vehicle off with the intent on changing the timing belt, water pump, etc. The only light on my vehicle was the air light for the right drivers size tire. The first instance was I was quoted a certain amount and when it was time to pay it increased by $66.00 and the clerk, the tech, assistant did not know what the charges were for. It wasnt until the manager got involved and said there was miscellaneous things that needed to be done to your car so we went ahead and did it and charged you for it. I asked without permission? Or even notification she said yes it was just little stuff so we just do it and charge you after. Whose to say I had that extra money after spending $1200+ on a vehicle. I paid for the work to be done and left with the vehicle. Once I got to the light outside of the company my engine light came on and the car started to stutter uncontrollably. I immediately took it back and told the front desk ******* that my car was not doing this when I brought it in and now all of a sudden its doing this. On top of that the squeaking sound that they told me was my belt was still happening. The tech told me there was nothing they can do until Wednesday and they can call me for an appointment time. I told them thats not acceptable and the manager came back and said they can call me on Wednesday, December 27th,2023. At 1pm CST there was no call. So, I called and there was no response. At 2:15pm I called to speak to the manager and was told that she was not available but I can pay for a diagnosis on the vehicle I just paid over $1k to fix. I asked why do I have to pay for something that occurred when my vehicle was in their car. No response. I am out of money and have a vehicle worse then what I gave them.

Thank you for reaching out. The customer came in to have the timing belt replaced that we recommended in March of 2023 as per manufacturer mileage recommendations. We also recommended several other things during the past visits and the visit in question that the customer declined. When signing the repair order for authorization the total was clearly marked. The "extra" charges were part of the shop supplies, that were included in the original estimate, that are included on every repair order that is customer pay. Upon completion of the timing belt replacement, we informed the customer that her vehicle was ready for pick up. When she came to pick up she stated that the vehicle was "still not driving correctly". The store manager then informed the customer that we only performed the mileage recommendation that she requested. The customer then stated she thought that the timing belt would repair her issue. The store manager then informed the customer that we were unaware of any issues she was experiencing, but we would gladly look at it for no additional charge on Wednesday December 27th and to please return then and we would provide the diagnosis at no charge, for the actual issue that she was experiencing in the vehicle and even give her a ride home. She told the store manager that she would return and this is the first response that we have heard from the customer since. Please note that she picked it up late on Friday afternoon before the Christmas break and we would be closed on the Tuesday after Christmas to let our employees spend time with their families (We had signs up and we were informing people of the extra day closed).

    Good day,

I have not heard anything back after calling them several times and after the complaint was filed there has been no resolution to the issue. My car is in worse shape now then when I turned it in and accounting to another mechanic it does not look like the work was done! Im at an impassed.
