    Dissatisfied with service: Recently my 92-year-old father’s air conditioning that was not working. The unit was installed by Dawson-Dawson Heating & Cooling years ago. The tech showed up, wasn’t there very long, said the air compressor was grounded and that unit needed to be replaced. The unit was old and no longer manufactured, would cost $3250 to replace, and could not guarantee it. Recommended to replace with a new unit for $7500.
    Reached out to another A/C provider, was told the air compressor was not grounded, yes it was old, there was nothing wrong with the compressor. Replaced the part for less than $500 and has been working since.
    Wondering how many elderly people or anyone that was told needed a new unit and really did not. $7500 is a lot of money for someone on a fixed budget. Really glad we got another opinion.
