      On April 1st, Highland Tree was paid $5,200 in cash to remove 4 trees and 2 stumps from our property. They were to haul off 1 tree and leave the wood from the other 3 in our backyard cut into manageable pieces near a burn pit. They did cut down all trees, move logs and grind the 2 stumps before they left claiming they were understaffed and needed to repair chainsaws. ******* ****** guaranteed that the crew would be back later in the week to finish the work and clean up in the front yard. They never showed.We contacted ******* again several times only to receive excuses about how they were short-staffed, would complete the job in June while they were scheduled to be in our area, and had a family emergency out of state. She did send a person out by himself to finish cutting the logs, but he was able to make very little progress because of the size and weight. She then claimed that to send anyone else out to complete the job they had already been paid in full for, she would have to charge us extra. She stopped responding to our calls and texts.We contacted the business owner, **** *******, and made our grievances known. We were reassured that this is not how they do business and that a crew would be sent to finish cutting the logs that were left. After trying to contact him several times without response, we are sure he has ghosted us also.After doing much of the work ourselves that Highland failed to complete, we are left with 4 logs that are too large for us to cut or move using the equipment we own. A larger chainsaw and a skid steer are probably needed to complete the job. We would simply like the company to come with a crew and the proper equipment needed to cut these 4 logs down into manageable sections that we could handle disposing of.

      We do apologize for this not being completed. I, *******, has had unforeseen medical conditions that has come rather sudden, which has made the tree service become second on the agenda, Stage 2 Breast Cancer has my first priority at this point, and I apologize for not being able to relay that to many of my customer.. I still plan on finishing cutting up those pieces of wood, which was a FREE service, something that is not usually done for customers. My crew is currently helping with disaster relief of Hurricane ******, therefore, I am unsure when they will be back in town. If *** and Mrs. ***** are still willing to wait I will still get it taken care of for them when I have a crew back in town and hopefully by that point I will be in remission. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I would like a date and time that we can expect the crew to be on our property. We have waited over 6 months for this to be completed. I understand that your crew is currently helping with hurricane clean up, but would like to be a top priority when they return. Our work that has been paid for should be completed before your crew moves on and schedules other jobs.

      This was not a free service that was provided to us. I let you know exactly what we needed the crew to do when you walked the property with me before you sent a quote. This work was to be included in the price of the quote, and I made that clear. 

      My husband and I have done the majority of the clean up work that Highland left behind. There are 4 large logs that we are not able to cut. That is the only work we are asking the crew to complete. We would like to know exactly when we can expect this work to be done, otherwise we will assume that Highland is not working in good faith to offer a real resolution to this issue.
