    ***** ***** came to our home and provided us a quote for repair work on the exterior with some rotting wood. His name was provided to us by a reputable real estate agent. He provided a quote and asked that we pay him a third of the quote. We gave him a check made out to Mason Faith Design for $1,290. He came for the check quickly and then called to ask if we could make the check to him. We wrote a check to him personally and he cash it on Nov. 1st. At this point he said he would come to start our week in two weeks. From here, he gave two more dates to start working and never showed up or communicated to us. I always reached out and kindly asked when he would come. Last week, he said he couldn’t do the job due to health issues and he would bring a check by on Thursday, Dec. 12, for me and my daughter (who he also stole money and they have had the exact same issue as we have). We sent a certified letter to him on Friday, Dec. 13, stating that he has seven days to return our money or we will seek legal action. We truly don’t want to take him to court but we also believe that he has committed fraud and has no intention of returning our down payment (or our daughter’s). No one should have to go through such a trying and dishonest transaction.
    There are so many red flags - the check made out to him personally and his business number is is phone number (didn’t catch this until he stole our money)

    I was unable to fulfill my commitment just as they stated. No excuses whatsoever, I have made the situation right by issuing a complete refund of $1290. It was never my intention to make my clients feel as though I was trying to commit fraud against them or steal From them. I have issued the ********* a check that has been processed and cleared. I have also issued her daughter a check. It was an unfortunate situation and I hold the responsibility of my actions. I have reached out to them and expressed my apologies, to which they have graciously accepted and have I  made everything right on my end. At this moment in time, I have indefinitely stopped my current line of business. I express my sincere apology and wish them nothing but the best. Thank you for your understanding.
