    Matt came out to my home with an assistant to relocate plugs and switches. He chose to not provide an estimate but to just do the job. Other competitor businesses had estimated appx 5 to 6 hours to do the work.

    MT Electrical Services fees were $75/hour with a minimum of 4 hours. I let him know this was not an issue.

    A few hours into the job, he asked for money to go to Lowes for supplies. Cash was provided to him. He and his assistant were in my home for many hours. At the end of the day he let me know that the cost was $635 and that he would need to return another day to finish the work. He stated that the rest of the work should not take that long, but the job was more time consuming than he expected. He said he would let me know how quickly he could return as soon as he reviewed his schedule and that he would let me know soon. I provided him with a check for the $635.

    The next day he called and indicated his bank would not cash the check. He said his bank would not cash any check made to him personally or the business. He had to pay his assistant and wanted me to send payment via a cash app. I was very uncomfortable without knowing a return date for completion of the work, but agreed. My bank would not let me make a transfer using the cash app so I went to my bank and withdrew cash. He drove and picked up the cash with the promise to finish the work promptly.

    He has not accepted any further phone calls or returned any messages. Today, 11/8/22 another electrician came out to do the work and explained how MT Electrical did not do work to relocate the switches/plugs needed and actually did damage. MT Electrical cut into existing structural 2 x 4 and the housing itself making the 4 way switch dangerous. Identified wires were inaccurate and additional problems were found. This electrician had to troubleshoot what MT Electrical and do the original work needed.
