    We canceled our membership and continued to be charged. Spoke with ******* and he confessed he "forgot" to advise me to send an email to officially cancel membership. He then refunded me the 3 payments and said my membership was canceled. I have gotten charged 3 additional times since supposed cancelation. He also never canceled membership as per headquarters. Headquarters now has denied my refund due not receiving email cancelation.

    No, I have not heard from Anytime Fitness and no I am not satisfied with their efforts to resolve this issue. They charged me for services and was not supposed to. I contacted the local location and their headquarters. Neither were helpful. I have disputed the charges on my credit card. I don't feel like I asked for anything I wasn't entitled to. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

    After investigating the complaint I called the complainant in response to this situation.  The employee ******* appeared to respond in good faith after admitting that he forgot to tell the complainant to send an email requesting to cancel as it is stated in the terms of the agreement.  After refunding the complainant's request he claims that he was still expecting the written request so that he could cancel the membership. The complainant claims he did not ask for the written request following the refund and that he would cancel.  I told the complainant that I would side with them and help expedite the contested charges through their financial organization.

    I have since then written our third party biller (*** *******) to expedite their request and reprimanded the employee.
    I apologize for any the service you received and trust this has been resolved in the complainant's favor.
