    On August 2nd, my husband, daughter, her friend and I dined at Gabriels. We ordered one pizza, a salad and water. We were told by the waitress that the toppings were included on the pizza and there was no extra charge. We later found out that they charged us for each topping. They also wanted charge us .89 for each condiments (such as salad dressing). When the pizza was delivered to our table we discovered that it was burnt on the bottom, we let the waitress know. She didn't have a response. We went ahead and ate the pizza as we did not want to cause havoc in the restaurant while we had company. The bill total, including gratuity was $40. The receipt was not itemized. I called the owner and manager today. The manager (Josh) was rude and not helpful. He stated that we should have taken care of the problem while we were there. The manager was rude and lethargic. I called back and the owner gave me his name, Alan Eisenninger(sp?), and he would not give me Josh's last name. The owner was not remorseful and did not offer any compensation. I wanted the owner and manager to know of our experience so that it would not be repeated in the future and some type of compensation of at least $5.00 and being remorseful or offering an apology for our experience would have been nice.

    Complainant states that they were not aware of charges for extra dressings with salads and toppings on the deep dish pizza.  The menu supplied each guest when they are seated reads under salads:  Salads come with one of our delicious homemade dressings:  Ranch, Parmesan Italian, Thousand Island, or Honey Dijon.  We also stock Pepper Mill Blue Cheese dressing.  Additional 2 oz dressing…$.99,  and under deep dish pizzas: AUTHENTIC CHICAGO STYLE DEEP DISH CHEESE:    12”…$17.30  plus 12” topping price.

    As for the bake on the pizza, this was not brought to the manager-in-charge's attention and was not brought to my attention until the complainant called one week after their visit.

    At Gabriel's, we are determined to take care of every guest to the best of our ability.  We have built a successful business doing just that.

    The prices are way too high...the amount of time after the incident shouldn't matter...We did not call for the manager due to disrupting the time with our family....which is very few occasions....the new server was not friendly or empathic to our needs...why did she not tell the manager of the problems and compensate....and fix the problem w/ the concerns...I have had many servers that would have not served such a pizza in the first place.
