The trauma and many forms of abuse that I endured (as well as MANY other ladies), still haunts me to this day. We couldn't reach out to for help because they take away every form of communication to your family and force you to write only positive things in the letters. They will lie to families and tell them their kids are doing great, all the while, their daughters are being shamed for every minor thing they do. There is no human error, it all ends up being punished. That shame lives with you for years to come. They seem like good, wholesome, Christians, but please be aware, that's what let them get away with the abuse. I've personally known girls to be withheld food, an adult on top of them as they are hit as punishment, at least 3 girls have come forward with sexual assault stories. Every time, the girls were shamed instead of the abuser. NOTHING was done to seek justice. I was kept in the basement for 2 weeks with a kidney stone, screaming in pain, as staff would not help me. Matt Franklin has the largest accusations against him during his years here. I know he's not there anymore, but the way this place is run, it's easy to be abused, brainwashed, traumatized, starved, and over all, will have negative lasting affects on your life. Many of us women stayed silent for years, not even realizing just how much we've been through. We're standing up now for what's right. We're standing up to keep future girls safe, because nobody did it for us. PLEASE do NOT send your girls here. If you truly love them, do NOT do it! That goes for the boys home, the Ranch, as well. Your child WILL endure some, if not many types of abuse while they are here. Please don't put them through that. These people are not the shiny happy people they seem to be!
