      On 9/8/2022, I purchased a 2007 Acura from Jacinto's Auto Sales for $6,995. On 9/2, I talked on the phone with a Jacinto's representative to inquire about the car that I noticed when car shopping online. During that phone call, the rep. said because of an engine light on in the car, a mechanic was checking out the car. A 2nd phone call a few days later with a different Jacinto's representative resulted in that rep. telling me that there was nothing wrong with the car, that her uncle drove the car from Cleveland, TN to Chatanooga. On the day of the purchase, I asked several times if anything was wrong with the car, to which I was told that the car had no mechanical issues. Once leaving the lot, several of the check engine lights came on. We drove the car back to the lot. An employee connected a code reader to the car. Despite the check engine lights on, I was told there was nothing wrong with the car, but if something happened, not to worry because I was covered under warranty. After getting the car home, the check engine lights came back on. I carried the car to a dealership and was told there was a lot wrong with the car, to include needing turbo and intercooler replaced. I paid roughly $530 for fluids to be flushed and replaced. However, the remaining est. repair costs was $10,232.44. At the direction of Jacinto's, I called ASC warranty but was told that turbo and intercooler were not covered. I tried many times to resolve the issue with Jacinto's. I purchased a used car, but I feel that the business knowingly deceived me. I would understand more if the repair costs were a couple thousand, but the repair costs are almost double what I paid for the car. No one at Jacinto's (including the owner) has offered any sort of remedy. The owner even said to me that the car was priced low because of the mechanical issues, which is in direct contrast to what I was told when buying the car and later when I carried the car back. This seems to be blatant deception and predatory.

      On September 8th ******* ***** came to purchase
      the 2007 Acura RDX from Jacintos auto Sales LLC. The vehicle in question was in
      Cleveland TN and was brought down to our Chattanooga location per her request
      as she was driving from out of state. Our driver made the 30-minute drive and
      had no issues with the car. ******* was able to test drive the car and inspect
      it before her purchase. ******* was aware that the vehicle was being sold as
      is. The car was sold with a third-party warranty “ASC”. She was given copies of
      the contract she signed and the ASC warranty information. The car price was
      lowered as ******* ***** was purchasing it cash and that was the price agreed
      on by both parties. It is a used car, and we can not be held responsible for
      mechanical issues after it was driven from our location. We sold the car in
      good faith that the car had no known mechanical issues while in our possession.
      However, it is a used car and for that reason we offer our third-party warranty
      ASC. Jacinto’s Auto Sales LLC is a small family-owned business, and we try to
      do our best for our customers. It is unfortunate that ******* ***** did not
      have a perfect experience with the purchase of her used car.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I am not satisfied with your response because you said there was nothing wrong with the car and that it had been inspected, when obviously there was something wrong since the lights came on after driving away from the dealership. I was not given the opportunity to have the car inspected by a 3rd party before purchasing. In addition, you did not drop the price of the car as you alleged in your response.  I have 2 witnesses that heard what he told me at the dealership.  I would like the car to either be repaired or be able to return it to get my money back.
