      Rain Maker was hired to winterize our sprinkler system last fall. This spring they came to start the system. We discovered they had not drained the pump - the drain plug was still in it. The service technician verified this. As a result the pump had frozen and cracked the housing. Last fall the pump did not leak at all. When the pump was started this spring a large amount of water sprayed from the crack. We contacted the owner of the company and he refused to accept any responsibility claiming the leak was from normal use. In short, it did not leak before they winterized the system, they did not drain the pump, it froze and cracked and sprayed water through the crack, but he takes no responsibility for the problem. All he would do is have us buy a new pump and they installed it. After all this we also discovered that the sprinkler system they had started this spring was not working properly. One of the zones runs continuously when any other zone is running. We are hiring someone else to come make the system right.
