Transaction was on 11-2-22 He sent a dual wheel semitruck with a 40 ft shipping container that I had purchased for $4200 which included shipping and taxes. Driver was unable to navigate to the driveway and retuned the container to Midsouth. I had explained to ************************* that my driveway was tight, but a 40 ft trailer and long wheelbase pickup truck could make it. ***** assured me he has the best drivers around. All correspondence was done by email. ***** refuses to give me a full refund saying that I'll have to pay for the dry run. I have not received any of my money back. ***** just ignored what I said about having a tight driveway as evidenced by the email correspondence.

    *****,

I am emailing in regards to the above complaint I was notified on.

    ********************** contacted my commissioned only sales rep *********************************** style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: small; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">in Lake City ******** in Regards to purchasing a 40' Storage
Container.  They agreed on a price and *************** was told by *** that
the container would have to be delivered by a big truck and big
trailer since he is ordering a 40' long container.  *************** informed
*** the driver would have no problems getting into his spot where he
needed it and assured him there was plenty of space to deliver and
turn around etc.  With this said, I sub contracted the delivery for
the commodity *************** ordered and arranged the delivery and product
etc.  When the driver got to ***************** place where he wanted the
container the driver did all he could to get the container where Mr
****** wanted it but there was just no way to put it where he wanted
it because there was not enough space or room for the truck and
trailer that he ordered.  These drivers are for sure the best at what
they do and if they could not get it where it needed to go no could
for sure.  The driver tried all he needed to do for a while but it was
just impossible to get it where he wanted it.  *************** should have
ordered him a 20' Container and that would have been brought out on a
smaller truck like a wrecker truck instead.  I do sub out the
deliveries and was charged for what is called a dry run.  The trucking
company still gets paid for their attempts to deliver or for all
deliveries regardless if the customer can accept or can not accept or
denies the commodity for any reason.  ********************* still gets
paid for their services and attempts to deliver even when given false
info like *************** did to my commissioned only sales rep ************* style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: small; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">*********.  Attached you will see my refund check stub I sent back to
*************** for not being able to get the 40' Container he ordered minus
the cost I was billed for the dry run by the trucking company.  I have
done all I know to do to satisfy *************** minus the cost of the
trucking expense the driver put into delivering what *************** said he
could accept with no issues at all.  I strive to run a good business
and will continue to do so.  It is unfortunate that we get a bad apple
mixed in with all the good customers every  now and then.

    Thanks

I am rejecting this response because: I had been in contact with the salesman from lake city on a couple times before the sale. I had informed him then it was tight and and he offered to come look at and see if it could be delivered. It never happened. I then told ***** about tight and that 40 trailer and truck would fit.  The response was we have best drivers.  We could go back and forth over this fitting. I did try to send alarms about fitting,no one seemed concerned. How can I pay for dry run when I was alarming from day 1.  This complaint was over dry run charge . I am willing in good faith to pay for half dry run and end this . I would even over look the bad apple comment.

    Sincerely,

    *******************

    *****,

Please see attached for the payment I had to make to the carrier who attempted to deliver the commodity to ********************  I told ******************* that I would refund his payment for the Container he purchased but unfortunately the dry run for not being able to fit the product where he wanted is on him.  The carrier could have placed the container somewhere else for ******************* but he told the driver to take it back to *******.  ********************** should have known that a 40' Container would not fit in a spot only big enough for a  20' Container.  It is not rocket science for sure.  Also my sales rep informed ******************* that the 40' Container would be delivered with a big truck and big trailer in advance.  Yes we do have the best drivers around and if they can not put the container in the appropriate spot then no one can.  ********************** has since received my payment for the container he paid in full and since cashed it.  I told him from day one that I would send him a refund for the container he told the driver to take back to ******* where we are.  I have never in 18 yrs been through anything like this with any customer and I have a feeling that and would bet that this is not for sure the first Time ******************* has complained to others when he does not get his way or misleads companies.
