  We hired Travis H***** (“Built by Travis”) in 2024 for a $100k project. 1. Unprofessional Conduct: Travis flat-out refused to coordinate with a pool company, who handled our pool installation. His unwillingness to work with the company caused key concrete elements to be incorrect, directly impacting the function and aesthetics of the area. 2. Sloppy Cement work: The concrete coping around the pool and sidewalk was ragged, uneven, and completely lacking the quality finish we were promised. When we brought the issue, he was delayed in responding. Once he finally came out, he refused to accept responsibility, offered no real solution, and instead berated us, blaming us for the delay in his follow-up. He told us that because we waited too long to call him over, it was now “unreasonable” for him to fix the issue. That level of disregard is unacceptable. 3. Scratched Pool Liner and hot tub: To “fix” the coping, Travis sent out his concrete crew—who then scratched our brand-new vinyl pool liner in the process. This damage is visible and should never have happened. When we asked Travis to make it right—he refused. He minimized the damage, brushed off our concerns, and took no responsibility. He also scratched our stand alone pool, and again took no responsibility to fix the issue. 4. Unfinished Work: Several elements of the project were never completed, despite being promised or paid for. Instead of taking initiative, Travis made excuses, denied conversations, and dodged all responsibility. 5. Blocked: After paying him in full, we discovered we’d been blocked from his business ******** page, preventing us from posting a public review. Bottom Line: Travis H***** handled our project with poor craftsmanship, refusal to collaborate, zero accountability, and deeply unprofessional behavior. He dismissed our concerns, delayed communication, blamed us for issues caused by his own team, and ultimately walked away from responsibilities he agreed to.
