    Soard Properties in **********, ** are entirely unhelpful, unfriendly, and unpleasant. Today is a Saturday, their day off, and my ceiling fan in my bedroom started sparking, smoking, and let off an odor. I called requesting maintenance, they informed me that the nature of my problem did not qualify as an emergency, and that theyd only come out for fire, flood, or catastrophe. I told them I was unwilling to wait for it to become a full fledged fire, and I asked to speak with maintenance directly. Upon speaking to the maintenance man on call directly (who distinctly did not disclose his name), I was met with him yelling at me, degrading me, and invalidating my concerns. Initially, he told me the best he could do was put tape on the ceiling fan light switch and wait until Monday. I told him that would not work for me and my family, and that I felt unsafe in my own bedroom. Then, he abruptly asked me if I had a cat, to which I said yes, and he then explained he was extremely allergic to cats and couldnt come out today because of that. I asked if anyone else was available, and he said yes that they would bring out a new light fixture. I am not anticipating they will actually come out today, because every time I have called about my ceiling fan, they assured me someone would come out, and then they do not. I called the operator back to make sure the claim had been appropriately filed, and she assured me it had been. I am positive I am not the only one who has had these type of unpleasant experiences with Soard Properties, and this is not my first unpleasant experience with them. This is just the first time I have felt unsafe in my own rental property, and trying to get them to do something about it just makes them noticeably angry and unpleasant. I understand its their day off, its my day off too, but I dont know what else do to.

    My name at the time was *********************** not ***********************. I never received an email with a response and now the ticket has been closed?

    We do not have a current customer by this name.  Please provide address and time frame when they lived with us.  If a roommate or different name was on the account please provide.  Cannot locate customer with information provided.
