    When ************************* arrived on January 26, 2024, I explained to him that the retractable downdraft ventilation system was not rising and the blower fan does not come on. He disassembled the ventilation system under the cooktop, tried to locate the blower fan motor under the cabinet. I explained to him that it is an exterior blower fan motor and is located outside. He was surprised that such a system exists. He removed the wiring and plugged the blower fan electrical cord directly into the hot side. This action tripped the circuit breaker both times and burnt the plug. He said that the blower fan motor is bad and that I need to replace the entire vent hood assembly, tear up the hardwood floor as the wiring from the cabinet to the blower motor runs underground, including dismantling the exterior brick encasing of the blower motor. He did not assemble the vent and wiring as it originally was. He said I need a new venthood assembly. He recommended that I get the wiring to the blower motor checked out by an electrician. I paid him a service fee of $95 plus taxes, total $104.26. I then contacted a professional electric company based on his advice. The electrician came and changed the electric outlet to all hot under the cooktop. I called ***** and he said the electrician did it all wrong and has now blown the motor. He says he knows the woman who operates the ***************** The electrician came and changed the electric outlet back to its original form (left hot side, right cold side), they both discussed and he too now said that the blower motor is bad. I reached out to a new appliance technician; he comes and notices that the unit is disassembled and not wired correctly. The new appliance technician corrects the wiring, reassembles the unit and the blower motor fan works as it should. I then called ************************* and requested that he refund the service fee and cover for the damage that he had done to the wiring. He agreed to refund the service fee but not the damage.
