    We received a call from the owner of Cordova Skate Center yesterday. We booked the event center in May and made them aware of the details of our event. The owner chose to wait TWO WEEKS, yes, TWO WEEKS prior to the event to tell us that he would not be willing to host us. He goes on to say that they don't do public events like this.... where people make money. He stated, "Me and my family built this company to make money, not for other people to make money off of it". I informed him that we were transparent from the beginning regarding what this event was and how we were doing it. He stated that we cannot do the event on this day. I did request a full refund which he obliged; however, this does nothing for the image of our businesses, additional money lost to advertise, hours spent planning the event, and materials already purchased for the event.Very poor business practices.
