I purchased a vehicle from Nick ********************** Chevrolet and was told it had a lifetime powertrain warranty. When the transmission went out on the vehicle, I was denied coverage for the claim because they said I went 200 miles over on an oil change. However, *** always had the oil changed there according to the stickers they provide. I believe they are intentionally not putting correct numbers on stickers in order to void powertrain warranties they are advertising with the vehicles they sell.

    Re: Complaint 18431689

We received your complaint filed by ************************* as a second notice today.  It appears you have our address incorrect.  Please change our address to Nick Mayer Chevrolet Buick GMC of *******, ********************************************************* 37055.  Hopefully this will prevent any future delays in correspondence.

It appears ************************* purchased a 2015 GMC Yukon with ***** miles from Alexander ******************** Buick GMC on 03/23/2021.  As we have no affiliation with *****************************, I have limited access to those previous records so I may not have complete information.  Nick ********************** purchased Alexander ******************** on 10/12/2021 roughly 7 months after this purchase was made.

As I understand Alexander ********** offered their customers a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty that was administrated through a third party administrator Premier ************************* service advisor at **** ********************** opened a claim with ***********************.  That claim was declined due to the service requirements not being met. I personally called *********************** on behalf of ************** to attempt to see if any exception could be made. I was informed that the contractual maintenance requirement was **** miles between oil changes and the claim was denied because the vehicle had exceeded that.

We also reached out to ************** to attempt to apply for assistance through their good will program and they offered her 10% assistance that totals $512.98 even though the vehicle is 23k miles out of warranty.

At this time we have attempted every avenue of assistance we have at our disposal.

If I can be of any assistance please feel free to reach out anytime.

    Respectfully,

    *******************

I am rejecting this response because:

At no point in the response was the issue addressed of maintenance technicians not putting correct oil change mileage/dates on the stickers they supply at each oil change. In fact, I have an incorrect sticker on the car currently for an oil change performed at Nick ********************** Chevrolet. It has a handwritten mileage number and no date.

    Sincerely,
