Paid Huskey for all new windows as part of a new residential home build. I also paid Huskey for all lumber that was used in the construction of my new home. There were three windows delivered broken or damaged. One window has been replaced. Two windows have still not been replaced as requested. Repeated attempts at follow-up communication with the business has not yielded results. One of the remaining windows has a bent grille. The other window has cracked glass on the moveable section of the window. I paid a significant amount of money not only for the window package but all of the lumber. I expect to receive what I paid for, and I certainly know the owner of this business would expect the same.

I have made 4 attempts to contact Huskey to come fix or replace a screen door I purchased from them. When I opened the packaging around the screen door, one complete side of the screen is not connected to the door. I called them and have had them tell me they would let me know what will be done about the door. Out of calling them 4 times (the last time was to the manager of the window section ******) I have NOT received a call back yet and my screen door is not fixed. I would like them to either fix this screen door or replace it with one that is not damaged.

      *****,
I'm so sorry you've had a frustrating experience getting this screen door replaced with us.  I'm happy to get another one on order for you ****!  It should take about 2 weeks to come in from our vendor and then we can put it on our truck and deliver it to you.  Does that work?

Please give me a shout if needed.  My number is below.

      Thanks

Huskey Lumber (HL) provided products and installation for items in our new construction home that we moved into in Mar 2021. We have contacted them repeatedly to resolve all of the issues.French door set 1 in great room closest to the fireplace is dragging, does not lock without tugging the door shut, and has moisture between the glass panes, this was reported in 2021, but not repaired. The moisture between the panes was reported in Nov 2022. French door set 3 in same room, close to the kitchen is warped and was reported to HL by a SE&I Engineering report in Oct 2021. No actions have been taken in over a year to order a new French door set, install it & have it stained to match the other two sets of doors. Some of the windows were not installed properly, which was reported in June 2021. After the windows were inspected by the manufacturer, ***************** installers came to remove the brick and correct the installation of 3 sets in Aug 2022. They have not returned to touch up the interior window trim paint or repair damage to cladding that was done by them. One of the windows in the master bedroom had an upper sash that falls down and would not stay in place when the window latch was opened. This was reported more than 8 months ago. When they came with replacement parts, it was discovered that another window in the same room also had the problem. One repair was done on Nov 23 2022 and parts were requested for the second window, but we have heard nothing. Since the parts failure has now happened with two windows in the same room, we would like for all the windows to be inspected for the same failure and replaced at one time, given the lengthy time frame involved in ordering parts and scheduling the repair of the master bedroom window. Two exterior fiberglass doors have grids that are not lying flat to the surface of the door. One was reported in late 2020, before moving in, both fiberglass grids need to be replaced, and stained to match the finishes of the doors.

We have contacted the homeowner and set an appointment for 1/25 to make known repairs and assess additional issues.  We are currently gathering the necessary items to make the additional repairs, and will contact the homeowner again to schedule the follow up visit to complete additional tasks.

I am rejecting this response because if I accept it, the complaint will close and they are not done yet and a plan with a  timeline has not been given to us. Husky Lumber did come out at 1/25 and did some of the repairs but we are waiting for them to follow up with us about their next steps to complete what needs to be done.

      Sincerely,

In response to ID 18670497, Huskey has made multiple
attempts to satisfy the homeowner for her concerns, many of which were cause by
      other trades.

Doors removed by painters and not reinstalled properly.

Door slabs with glass inserts (with grids) were replaced by other
workers.  Customer changed slabs after original install and had a
non-Huskey worker remove the glass inserts for the original door and put the
      insert into the new slab.
Falling Sashes – Installed new jam liners

Huskey has made 15 trips to this home after the original
install to address the homeowner concerns and repair our issues. We have also done
some of the repairs that were not caused by Huskey, to try and appease the
homeowner.  In addition, we have engaged the Manufacturer Rep and
independent contractors to inspect and evaluate homeowner concerns.  Their
      findings were those mentioned above.

I am rejecting this response because:

Huskey Lumber’s response to our complaint does not address the specific issues that we mentioned in the original complaint document. They provided information and many attachments that are completely unrelated to the issues below. We agree they have been out several times and yet issues reported long ago have not been addressed or resolved.
