    Benjamin Brown of handyman Benjamin, LLC was contracted to remodel our rental house on ************** in ********, *********. he essentially walked off the job while our deck was completely torn down and said that he was not coming back. Approximately half of the decking was shrink wrapped in the garage was missing the day after he walked off the job. The Trex decking material was purchased approximately 1 to 2 months before and he was waiting for the deck to be torn down in order to install. So, the day after he walked off the job I went into the garage and the shrink wrapped decking material was gone. Also, the outside deck was completely torn down. So, I now have to hire another contractor to again buy more Trex decking material and install. I had to hire another contractor to finish the job from a deck standpoint at the cost of approximately $6500.Also, the painter had not yet finished doing touchups, standing and painting the stairwell, painting the front door as well as all of the kitchen and laundry room cabinets. I had to hire a painter to do all of those things at a cost of approximately $5800.in addition to the above, there are lots of odds and ends that still have not been done that I will need to hire a contractor to finish as well.Overall, he was unwilling to take any responsibility for anything that has happened during this entire job. He Was extremely unprofessional in his dealings with both myself as well as my designer. And, he walked off the job site. Overall, he is quite possibly the worst handyman/contractor that I have ever worked with. I am having to pay somebody else to finish the job.I feel very strongly that he should lose his license for this.
