2 starsFAMILY MOVERS, a HUGE disappointment!
We've moved 3x's in the past 2.5 yrs, & have a good bit of experience in the process. After purchasing our now forever home in White House, TN, we decided to hire a local full service moving company. The previous 2x's, we rented a large ****** truck & hired ******** recommended co to handle the physical part of it. Both times, there were 2 men. Both times they did a fantastic job. Not a thing was broken or disturbed & the cost was very reasonable. Enter Family Movers - They recommended 3 men at a cost of $209 per hour + a $99 trip charge. It ended up being $1300 + to move us 9 blocks. (Twice the cost of *******) It was a hot day (6/25/25), but we had cold bottles of water for the guys & the A/C on full blast. The load in was easy. 25' from our 1 story ranch to their old truck. One of the guys spent more time complaining & finding ways to stay inside where it was cool. We had some expensive pieces of furniture, I pointed out. One being a 150 yr old trunk from Europe that ultimately ended up getting tossed around, throwing the contents inside all around, breaking a delicate, decorative cover. Next, we caught one of their guys ROLLING our round leather ottoman full of priceless family keepsakes & photos out to the truck! As they finished unloading & were in a rush to get out the door, I asked them if they had re-hooked up our washer & dryer? They hadn't. (Should movers disconnect appliances, they're obligated to reconnect them). After they supposedly took care of reconnecting the washer & dryer, they left. The next day, we needed to do laundry. It turns out they ripped the end of the dryer vent hose & didn't take the extra 2 mins to place it back on correctly using a screwdriver to tighten the clamp on the hose. (our laundry room was completely wet). They also lost the clamp to the washer hose, and water FILLED our new laundry room! I contacted FM's boss, sent him photos & an explanation, but he blamed us!!! 5 starsI wanted to hire a local moving company to unload furniture from a truck I had rented for a state-to-state move. Found Family Movers 615 online, called and spoke with the owner Corey. He was very friendly and informative. I didn’t think I could afford to hire someone for the state-to-state move, based on quotes I had received, but Corey provided the necessary reassurances and a quote that was in my price range. I decided to let them do the move and I am so thankful I did! The entire experience was excellent. Booking the appointment was easy, Cole was communicative through the process, and the movers were great. Everything was truly as stated or better. The movers (Marcell and Elijah) did a fantastic job. They were considerate, respectful, very efficient, and obviously skilled at moving. They disassembled applicable items, kept the necessary parts together, wrapped things very well to prevent damage, and handled all items with care. The truck was packed well, with all items secured, and everything arrived undamaged. Unloading and re-assembly was equally as impressive. I just can’t say enough good things about my experience or this company. If you are looking for an honest, reasonably priced company to do your move, then give them a call. Had my second move with Family Movers today and it was amazing! Cory and Samson are fantastic! My movers, Tristan, Jacob, and Ethan were phenomenal! They worked quickly, efficiently, and with care for our things. They were kind, had wonderful manners, and were very professional. Family Movers will always be my moving company. They even go out of state! Thank you for making a stressful situation a thousand times better! The price was awesome and even cheaper than I thought it would be. They're hands down the best!

1 starMy experience was horrible. Truck was not big enough so extra trip had to be made and still did not get everything. Was charged double my quote. They just put beds in rooms but did not put them together. Put a huge scrap in my brand new hardwood floor. Tried to talk to Cory but he refused to talk to me and has yet to call me regarding the incident. I have used them in the past and had no issues. I literally can't say enough about Family Movers and Cory and Samson.. They were fantastic... in order to know the whole story you would have to know that I have a 2 bedroom apartment and the first movers (*** ** ****) did me dirty.. they didn't move half of what I needed moved.. saying they didn't want to stack things due to the possibility it might fall.. they told me the hourly rate when I booked the move but then charged me a whole list of hidden fees.. charging me over 1000 dollars for 3.5 hours..to which I am now trying to get some of that refunded because of the upcharging they did without having told me anything.. I was in tears when I called Cory and he and Samson came and moved literally the other half of my belongings to my storage unit taking less time and charging me nothing but the charge that I was quoted.. literally nothing but the move hourly rate.. no hidden fees like that *** ** **** who took advantage of me.. (by the way the move was literally across the street from where I live.. ) pickup / drive across the street and right up to my storage unit and unload.. So YES please dont be taken to the cleaners by *** ** **** and hire Family Movers 615 they are trustworthy and will give you the total upfront cost.. no hidden fees.. and no underhanded business practices..Family Movers 615 LLC
