      I was out of town last week. I had a young man house/dog sitting for me. He accidentally hit my water faucet outside of my garage with his car. In his panic, he called the first plumbing service he could find, rather than calling me. They came out and replaced the hose bib outside, soldered on pex adapter and connected to pex, and installed a shut off valve. They then charged this kid 725$ for the work. I feel very much taking advantage of his age and lack of knowledge. Later in the day, he found there was no hot water. I had a friend stop by and the pilot light on my gas water heater was shut off. Never happened before. The house sitter didn't even know what the water heater was. Can't prove anything; however, the pilot light had been turned off by one of the techs so that the young man would have to call them back. I hope the house sitter has learned a lesson. It's a shame that this business took such advantage of him. I will be warning all my friends and coworkers. The work was fine as far as I can tell. I see no point in contacting the business; the house sitter signed and paid for the service. Just a shame to be so shady to a young person. Leaving 2 stars only because the job was done.
