    All of the *** customer service agents working were all white women, my representative was a senior citizen and she was acting like the tape police, she was refusing to allow me to have 1 Piece of tape in order to secure the label then I was tagged team by all the white women who collectively did not want me to put an extra piece of tape on the label to secure it since the items in the box were designer label clothing . Because I continued to protest for 1 piece of tape one of the **** haphazardly and rudely added the piece of tape , but I felt both discriminated against and subject to superiority complex of white women tag teaming me over the request fir a piece of tape and believe the items may have been stolen because Ive never had a problem shipping items *** before , Im usually sent an immediate email notifying me the pre posted label has been scanned and has been accepted . I have not received a notice of the prepaid label nor is there any tracking updates by *** which I find suspicious given the attitudes of the white women all acting like tape nazis

    Hello,

    Our managing associate, *******, called and spoke with the customer regarding this complaint.  ******* explained and apologized for the way the customer was treated over tape.  At the time of the phone call, ******* was confident that the customer was satisfied with the apology.  This is why I haven't responded to BBB, as we spoke directly to the customer.  The customer's package was shipped with a pre-paid shipping label, provided for by a third party, Thred UP.  When a customer ships items with a third party, pre-paid label, such as Thred UP, they either need to bring their items packed or purchase retail packing supplies such as boxes, poly mailers and tape.  Customers demand tape when their items are not properly prepared for shipping.  As a privately owned retailer, our supplies for shipping are not complimentary.  We did apologize if she felt dissatisfied with the handling of the tape topic, however, we do not give out free supplies for transactions.  

     

    In reference to any concern about a loss or claim, since the shipper's label was provided by a third party who paid for for that shipment, any claim or loss investigation would need to be handled with the account holder and the mail carrier company.  In this instance, I believe the shipment carrier was **** so Thred UP would need to file a claim directly with **** as we did not generate the shipment from my store's shipper account number.  I can only facilitate shipment claims when my shipper account number provides the shipment transaction.  We can confirm that all shipments are picked up daily from **** and UPS.
