The business owner conducted unprofessional business with me (***** ******) today (8/9/22) while visiting his business. I went to this place of business to get fingerprinted for a pending job position. While going through 99% of the fingerprinting process, the owner informed me that he would need to take a picture of me. I agreed to take the picture (unaware that a picture was needed). However, I informed the owner that I needed to change my shirt from a t shirt to button down shirt. I advised the owner that I had a shirt in my car, and that it would take me 30 seconds to retrieve my shirt. The owner immediately told me that the appointment was cancelled, and that I had to reschedule. This act of arrogance and unprofessionalism is not the proper way to conduct a business

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/10) */ We actually called the police on this customer because he called our office immediately after we asked him to leave and made what we believe was an open threat. We are a DOJ and FBI contractor and every person who registers for the background service is notified, at registration, that there will a picture made and what the documentation requirements are. The customers are given a very strict registration window by the Government, during their registration. Because of the nature of the sensitive materials (passports, birth certificates and sensitive documents) they are not allowed to leave and return after the enrollment process has begun. ****** ****** refused to have his picture made, demanded to change his clothes and was informed that no one would ever see the picture. He refused to complete the enrollment as requested so we exited the process and informed him that we would not be able to complete it and he would have to reschedule. The phone call, after he was asked to leave, concerned us enough that we did call the police. We have been seeing 70 plus people a day for 3 years and this is the first time we have ever called the police on someone or had this type of a problem. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I disagree with the owner's assessment of what actually happened. He did not mention in his response that the reason I called his office was to ask him or whomever answered the phone-what I would have to do to file a grievance/complaint against the owner for acting unprofessional towards a paying customer (me). There was nothing threatening about my call. I informed the individual who answered the phone that I would be filing formal complaints against the owner/business due to terrible business practice. The owner's assertion that I was aware and notified that I was going to take a picture during the fingerprinting process, is wrong. I did not have any idea that a picture was needed, and I informed him of this. I received paperwork from insight (background contractor) prior to my fingerprinting appointment with the aforementioned business. The paperwork did not disclose anything about taking a picture. In regard to a "strict registration window"- I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment, and the actually fingerprinting part of the fingerprinting process only took 5 minutes to complete. Th next stage (picture taking) part of the process would have taken less that one minute to complete. In other words I had ample time to be in compliance of the "strict registration window". I had enough time to example go and get my credit card, drivers license, etc. in case I accidentally left it in the car. You can add shirt to the aforementioned list. The owner stated that I refused to have my picture taken. This is a falsehood. I did not refuse to have my picture taken. I nicely informed the owner that I was unaware that I had to take a picture and I informed him that I am being hired for the City of Nashville (Public Schools) and that I needed to take a professional picture. I did not demand anything from the owner. I was kind and pleasant throughout the fingerprinting process. I did not understand why the owner was not able or did not complete the fingerprinting process. Therefore, I became somewhat frustrated with the owner's decision to stop the process- after completing the vast majority of the the process. I have had my fingerprints done many times over my 51 years of living (including prior to serving time in the military), but I have never experienced anything (may discrimination) like I did on this particular day. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/16) */ We will apologize for your employer for not relaying any pertinent information about the requirements to you. There is no further response needed to this incident.
