So glad I purchased my shelter for piece of mind. They were easy to deal with ordering, and after installation I have called a few times to ask questions about maintenance, they are quick to help any way they can and have even mailed me instructions and materials at no cost. Great family owned business

purchased their ultimate underground shelter, the website shows ventilation but they have changed the design and no longer offer rooftop vents in the underground shelter. In my opinion this is an extremely poor design as allows condensation from the metal door to build ** in the shelter and over time you will have standing water in your shelter from the constant rain of condensation coming off the metal door. This company should be ashamed of itself with their false advertising and cost cutting measures hurting their customers. I don't have lots of money but needed a shelter for my family now I have an expensive hole in the ground. Worst $5000 Ive ever spent.

****************, Yes you are correct we no longer offer pipes and turbines on any of our units. This is due to the pandemic when we could no longer find 6 thin wall and waited over a year for turbines to come in from order made, and only received bear minimum with no logic from the company purchased . You are correct our website does indeed show pictures of turbines on units., we do hundreds of units a year and those units have been installed by our past and present generations as we are family owned and operated. However, had any questions been asked prior to your order or delivery any of us at our business would have been more than happy to discuss in great detail why we no longer offer them, along with the grueling changes and cost effect our company had to endure to change the ventilation to in the door vs the turbines due to not being able to get materials. Also our displays that are on site are current with what we offer and within driving range from your home. While I do fully understand your frustration, you still proceeded with getting the unit installed at your residence after you were aware it didnt have turbines and ventilation is now through the door. Im not sure how to validate your complaint , as a simple refusal to have the unit installed, as payment is not due and contracts are not signed until the day of delivery/ install for every unit, could and apparently should have been made on 6-17-22 when your unit was delivered and installed. As far as the condensation off of your door, that happens in all units especially if it is 60 degrees plus in December. The turbines would not have changed the condensation, nor made it less. In fact we have studied many units with and without turbines and we have had less issues with condensation in the ones without. While you are by all means *********** your opinion, it is in fact that, your opinion. We have no records of you calling with any issues on your shelter or calling to ask about maintenance and care of the unit. We are a family owned and operated business as Im sure you know, we are always more than happy to answer any questions and do our best to find a solution for any problems. If needed feel free to contact our office we will be glad to send you over a copy of your signed contract that states that your maintenance and care includes opening the doors on pretty days to help reduce condensation as well as many other helpful things to know about your shelter.

My shelter is an in-ground storm shelter in **********. It has started leaking. They state their shelters are leakproof. False advertising. They came out about a year ago and told us they needed to do some work on it. I have been contacting them just about every week or two and get one excuse after another. I still have yet to have anything completed with the shelter.

****************, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your storm shelter. Our records indicate that your unit is over 10 years old and is out of warranty. We guarantee our shelters not to leak at the seam, as well as a one year warranty on leakage. There is a yearly maintenance that is needed on any storm shelter, particularly undergrounds this information can be found at the bottom of your disclaimer that you signed the day of install. If you bought a brand new car, drove it for 5 years and never had the oil changed you would definitely have some issues out of your motor, due to lack of maintenance on your end. We have you down on our list for your unit to be re-sealed which is part of your maintenance on the unit, we have stated that when we are back in that area we will stop by and re-seal the unit at no charge even though the unit is extremely out of any type of leakage warranty. If you would like to pay our company to make a special trip to ******, ** our office will be more than happy to give you a quote on maintenance as well as freight cost.
