Transaction Dates: 2/7/23, 2/25/23, 3/23/23 supported by documentation. Initially hired Wyatt’s Construction and Roofing to repair leak in roof area near front door which had caused damage inside a stucco wall and in flooring in foyer area inside house. This repair work led to hiring Mr. Wyatt to repair stucco on outside of house and tear out and install new ceramic tile in foyer, hall, bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. Mr. Wyatt assured us he could do the work. The work was not acceptable. Tile was uneven with insufficient grout, edges were trippable, pattern was inconsistent, and there were cracked and loose tiles. Stucco repair did not match existing exterior stucco pattern. Contacted Mr. Wyatt 7/14/23 and he agreed there were problems in his work. We requested a refund of $9,600 to cover costs of having other contractors redo his work. He proposed incremental payments in the amount of $2,000 but no schedule was set. Contacted Mr. Wyatt 11/6/23 after having received no payments or calls. He proposed to meet with us a few days later to discuss payment schedule but have not heard from him since. Incurred costs to have the stucco and tile work redone amounted to $9,600. The stucco and tile redo work included complete removal and replacement along with purchase of materials. Request refund of $9,600, which Mr Morris agreed was fair.

Wyatt's construction and roofing is a small business I try my best to  do what I do to the best of my ability and nobody is perfect but if there was a problem should have been at time of payment and we could have worked together to get it fix to your satisfaction when you get another company to come in and redo my work with out letting me know before hand or talking to them about the work it voids my warranty on any thing that I done because when you contacted me in December the work was already redone thanks

I am disappointed in Mr. Wyatt’s unwillingness to take responsibility for his unacceptable tile and stucco work performed at my home during February-March 2023. He was aware there were some problems when he left and admitted those during our telephone conversation on July 14, 2023, as I described in a previous statement to BBB. (I had no conversation with him in December 2023.) Why would I allow someone to come back into my home to redo work when it was not correctly done the first time, and it became apparent he didn’t have the skills to install tile or stucco properly.  I now realize the last payment to him should not have been made, but I had no prior experience with tile or stucco installation processes and trusted him at that time. This is my final statement through the BBB process.
