The hearing aids I was advised to try, by John ************ NBC-HIS, were no better than the ones provided to me by the VA (I am a military veteran). They are also extremely irritating and difficult to insert into my ear canals. In addition, I have found that this particular set of hearing aids to be defective. Upon informing Mr. **********r of the defect he advised that the static I was hearing to be an electronic anomaly. When I had him listen for himself he immediately replaced the speaker part of the left hearing aid. The next day the right hearing aid began changing pitch from low to high during a conversation then for no reason whatsoever the right hearing aid just went dead. When I got home I put the hearing aids back on the supplied charger. That fixed the problem until the next day when it went out again. I have also noticed a degradation of the sound quality while watching the evening news on tv, I was told that the battery life is supposed to be 28 hours, however, it appears the batteries are losing power after an 8 hour day.
Upon requesting a refund I was denied because of a clause in the sales contract stating that refunds only apply to "In Home" service. Mr **********r said he never came to my home. I came to his office because of a promotional flier he mailed to my house.
After arguing with him he agreed to give me a partial refund but was charging me $******** for his time. I feel this to be excessive for just an hour or two of his time. According to the sales agreement I only have 30 days to accept. Today is May 6th, 2024. I purchase the hearing aids on April 8th, 2024. Mr **********r's secretary has changed my return appointment from April 29th, 2024 to May 10th, 2024. This will cause the sales agreement to go beyond 30 days.

2/31/24, I went to Miracle Ear with their advertisement for free hearing test and hearing aid for ****.
After a hearing test the BC-HIS said he refused to sell me the **** device and put a different set in my ears.
I could hear well with them but the loudness hurt. I told him I did not think i would be able to stand the discomfort. He said it would take about 3 weeks to adjust, and this was normal.
I also told him I had been having some ear drainage so he looked at my ear drums with a scope and showed me the image of my ear drums on a monitor
Although I really could not tell what i was seeing, I did think I saw redness but he said my ear drums were fine.
Trusting his word, I paid the money and left with the aids in my ears to try to adjust as he insisted.
By evening the pain was terrible and I was getting a headache. I took them out, took Tylenol and went to bed. The next day I tried again but the pain became excruciating by early evening and the headache was much worse.
On Friday morning my ear and the whole left side of my head hurt and my left eye was swollen. I called my doctor and made an appt. with her. As soon as i had made the appt. I took the hearing aids back to Miracle Ear and ask for my money and my old hearing aid back.
The lady at the desk refused to take them, would not return my money or my old device.
I ask her to write on paper that i had tried to return them on 2/2/24. She only wrote that i had stopped by the office.
On 2/6/24 my Dr saw that I indeed had problems and advised me to return the aids. She gave me an Rx and was going to refer me to an ear specialist.
I left the Drs office and went straight to Miracle Ear, I left the aids there with the lady at the desk even though she did not want me to leave them. I ask for my old hearing aid back, she said she could not do that. I ask that my money be put back in my account.
I have an appt with an ear specialist on April 19.
They still have not returned my money or my old device.
